Service was a little slow as it was a very busy evening. Could use a few more waiters. However, that will not prevent us from returning...We love the Rising Sun:)

Dined Sunday afternoon and had the garlic mushrooms which were very nice and Sunday roast beef and the roast half chicken. Quality was average and veg very underdone. I think the meal was very average and would not choose it again. Dining room gives lovely views over to the Malvern hills in a very nice setting The furnishings are looking a little dated and could benefit from a refurbishment all in all 7/10

Booked for Sunday lunch with the grandchildren. The four of us adults ordered the cavery, with each of us choosing a different meat.
When it arrived we were shocked by how small the portions were. There was a reasonable amount of meat, but at most there were six or seven slices of carrot, one parsnip, two roast potatoes, a rather dried up looking Yorkshire pudding and a minuscule amount of gravy.
Extra portions were available at a cost of £1.00 each. The basic meal ranged in price from £10.00 upwards depending on the choice of meat, but in order to end up with a reasonably sized lunch, one would have have had to have been prepared to spend creeping up to the £15.00 mark.
The children didn't have roasts, and their portion sizes were better, but all in all, it was a great disappointment. The food was not terribly hot by the time it reached us either.
The decor could also do with updating. The paint on the windowsill was flaking and there were stains on the seat pads of the chairs.
I've read similar reviews on Trip Advisor dated more than a month ago. The manager responds, saying he'll look into,it, but obviously he hasn't, as it's still continuing.

Staff are lovely. Can't fault them. As with any establishment there may be a time when something isn't right with the meal. Did everything they could do to put it right. Do find the menu very limited tho. A few more vegetarian options would be nice.

Great seats with a view. Very quick and friendly service despite the restaurant being busy. Good food. Steak and ale pie was tasty, veg could have maybe been a tad fresher but not bad. Enjoyed the baked alaska. Will come again.
