Set on the south mezzanine level of the magnificent Royal Exchange building, Restaurant Sauterelle showcases supreme modern European cuisine. Stunning Grecian-style pillars and expansive arched windows make for a truly majestic setting.
Head chef Stefano Leone works across the Grand Café and Sauterelle, drawing upon his broad experience of cultures and cuisines. Next in line is Piero Leone, another Italian who blends his natural flair and passion with influences from his time in Australia, Mexico and Singapore. Showcasing a selection of exquisite flavours, dishes on the Sauterelle menu include blackened cod with lemon and champagne sauce, and Gloucester Old Spot pork fillet with Espelette chilli, pancetta and piquillo pepper.
A superb wine list stays faithful to the French theme at Sauterelle Restaurant, with rare vintages and champagnes also on offer. For dessert, flavour-packed creations include cheesecake with blood orange and pistachio, and mango sorbet with white chocolate, green tea and coconut.
A fine dining favourite in the city, Sauterelle London sits 1 minute’s walk from Bank Tube Station.

Food was great, and waiting staff were very pleasant. Lovely setting and good ambience.

I dined multiple times at this restaurant, however this was the first time when I didn't enjoy it at all and it's going to put me off for a long period. The food selection was very pour, it all sounded bland. And unfortunately it tasted the same as well. My salad looked like a bit of green and sliced cured meet from the supermarket pack, and the fish for the main course was not better than a frozen fish cooked at a pub. A thought of 'I would rather eat fish and chips from my local shop' crossed my mind a few times. Really disappointed, however I could not fault the service - everybody was very friendly and gave us lots of attention.

I prefer quiet and classic restaurants with cosy mosphere and nice view. I also prefer fish dishes.

Great location, friendly and attentive staff. My companion has a garlic allergy which was thoughtfully and carefully discussed with the chef making changes. VERY accommodating. Food beautiful, especially good value set menu at lunch. Wine list luxurious and lacking in a decent selection under £50.

It's a great restaurant with a good menu. Only point is that we had to ask for the set menu to be shown to us.

Very poor. Don't dine here. Lacklustre food with no flavour. Disappointed.

We enjoyed the roasted rump of lamb as our main course. I love my Apple and Calvados compote too. Very refreshing.
