Lovely meal enjoyed as the start of our holiday. There was a new waitress being inducted which we thought could have been done before the customers arrived but that did not detract from the meal.

Booking service was good. Food was OK with generous helpings, although roast potatoes were hard and appeared to have been reheated and some vege the same. A wait of 30mins before the starters arrived and slow service was not up to the usual standard expected from this establishment. On the plus side the young waitress behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly.

2nd visit and another great meal. The duck breast is very tasty, toughest decision is what to eat.

We stayed over and had the same room but no complaints at all with the room, very clean and well presented.

Nice enough to enjoy a drink outside before retreating to the lounge for a drink in front of the fire.

Will be returning for our 3rd visit!

We had no complaints about the food which was surprisingly good given everything else! From not having our booking at all, through to not bring able to print a bill for us to pay, the whole experience was chaotic to say the least. Of the tables around us, everyone had something to complain about - incorrect or forgotten items, slow service etc. One table asked for the manager who finally appeared in tatty jeans and a T-shirt and the proceeded to argue with the diners. We just got on with eating the food and let the whole thing go over our heads - others in the busy restaurant didn't!
