Boasting an AA Rosette for its seasonal European dishes, Moorhill House Hotel packs local ingredients into its lunch, dinner and afternoon tea menus. Nestled in an idyllic New Forest village, the restaurant looks out over the hotel’s beautifully landscaped gardens.

Favourites on the Moorhill House restaurant menu include grilled fillet of haddock with chorizo and chickpea cassoulet, pie of the day with seasonal vegetables and creamy mash, and slow-roasted pork belly with fondant potato, sautéed Savoy cabbage, glazed apple, and local cider sauce. For dessert, savour sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce, black treacle and almond tart with homemade orange ice cream, or a selection of local cheeses.

Afternoon tea at Moorhill House is quintessentially English, with finger sandwiches, cakes and scones served on a tiered cake stand. Champagne and Pimms are on hand to add extra indulgence to proceedings.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the New Forest, Moorhill House Burley is a 15-minute drive from Ringwood.

5 of us came for Mother's Day. Couldn't fault food or service, enjoyed by all. Only spoilt by long wait for bill at the end due to computer fault.

We had afternoon tea which we enjoyed. This is the only time I have been here so can only base it on this. Excellent staff , all very helpful. Good value for money. sandwiches maybe lacked a little flavor. Relaxing area to sit in

A wonderful lunch for our family gathering. Superb food and a really good choice of dishes which suited everybody. Service was outstanding and the friendly staff ensured the occasion was a memorable one for us all. Will certainly revisit on our next get together.

We arrived to be told that there were no 2 seat tables left and we had to sit on a 4 seater. It then took the waiter over 10 minutes to bring us a menu and did not even ask us if we wanted drinks. After another 10 minute wait we ordered our food, still no offer of drinks in sight, so we asked for drinks and a jug of water. When the water came the jug was dirty and I really did not want to drink anything that would be coming from it. The food was okay not the best I have had and certainly not a 1 Rosetta. Overall the service was horrible and the food somewhere in the middle.

Even though we arrived early the staff were lovely and accommodating. The afternoon tea was delicious with a good range of sandwiches and cake. The setting was lovely and we were able to enjoy the garden view, even though we were inside, as it was a little cool for elderly companions outside. A perfect way to relax and escape from the hustle of the tourist attractions in the New Forest. Definitely worth going back again.
