To start, there is duck and chestnut terrine with beetroot chutney and toasted corn bread, while hearty mains include black pudding-stuffed belly pork with sage mash, tender stem broccoli and roasted baby apple. On Sundays there are traditional roast dinners, as well as seafood options such as salmon fillet chowder with clams, mussels and a mini loaf.

Desserts at the Restaurant at The Lemon Tree in Wrexham include treats like blood orange and chocolate cheesecake with chocolate sorbet and burnt orange coulis. There is a great selection of craft beers and fine wines, while the afternoon teas are packed with indulgent options.

Beautiful hotel, centrally located in the town. Restaurant has lots of little nooks and crannies to sit in - we were in a side room with 3 tables. Had Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Cauliflower soup topped with bacon was delicious. Roast beef with all the trimmings was enjoyed by the both of us. Banoffee cheesecake was my favourite. Items we were not as keen on were Tomato/Beetroot/Feta starter - tasty but very small portion. Sticky Toffee Pudding - very dry consistency. Overall would highly recommend.

The staff were great, very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious as always. The one gripe would be that some of the dishes were limited in availability and we were not informed until after ordering - thus resulting in having to choose alternatives and re-order. It was a little embarrassing as I was hosting colleagues from across the UK. All seven diners enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere.

Parking was very limited, had to park on a side road. Waited over an hour for food. The dauphinois was just a stack of dry sliced potatoes. Very basic chicken meal, veg over cooked. That meal cost £14! Even though I voiced my disappointment; nothing was deducted.
