Boasting British fine dining awarded with a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2013, the Restaurant at The Ingham Swan, near Norwich, takes pride in its high, yet competitively priced, food quality. Originally a 14th-century coaching inn, the restaurant has retained its pastoral roots with a painstakingly maintained bar and luxurious lodging.

Serving sumptuous, innovative British cuisine, the Restaurant at The Ingham Swan offers menus du jour, a la carte or for Sunday lunch. It proffers mouth-watering choices such as honey-roasted breast of Gressingham duck with roast squash and Chinese cabbage, and baked vanilla cheesecake with mango sorbet and pineapple ravioli.

In the picturesque hamlet of Ingham, The Ingham Swan values its country inn charm, but intertwines this with sleek modern touches. The faithfully restored oak floor also features eye-catching slate tiles, and the rustic flint walls and inglenook fireplaces are carefully balanced with contemporary art and cheerful floral decorations.

Nestled in the rolling North Norfolk countryside, The Ingham Swan is minutes from the sea, and just 25 minutes’ drive from Norwich.

First meal at your establishment. It proved to be one of the very best . We have to see if this could possibly be improved ! Thanks

_disappointed with our table which was most uncomfortable. Table 7_in the window left a lot to be desired. The wife's feet could not reach the ground and the other seat was on the route for through traffic. As it was our anniversary, which we mentioned on booking, we were quite uncomfortable and not at all relaxed. The food was good but vegetables rather limited. Your staff were very pleasant but nobody came to enquire if our meal was alright which would have been courteous. Because of the discomfort which detracted from our meal we are undecided about returning.

Excellent food every time we visit. Took friends along who hadn't been before and they loved it as well.

Ever little detail was perfect. Six of us chose from the lunch du jour menu. The choices were sufficient and described well enough to enable an informed choice of meal. One of our guests - a self confessed foodie - awarded every one f the three courses eleven out of ten! The coffee to finish, so often a disappointment in many restaurants, was just right.
The waiting staff were attentive and managed to judge the level of formality required perfectly.
If I have a criticism, it would be the use of slate on which to serve the milk and sugar for the coffees. The novelty of such silliness wore off years ago, the impracticality of waiting staff trying to lift slates from the table will never change. The two slates placed on our table were two of the thickest I have ever seen!

A lovely evening, very good food, pleasant attentive staff and lovely surroundings. Only complaint was our coffee at the end of the meal was lukewarm at best

Really good lunch, we both had halibut which is not commonly found on menus; it was excellent.
