Local ingredients are important at the La Fosse restaurant, with recipes like spicy Fossil Farm chorizo sausage served with a perfectly-poached Cranborne duck egg.

Very nice meal, good value, quiet and cosy and perfect for taking our elderly parents for special birthday meal. Only dissappointment on that particular evening was the lack of choice of sweets. After seeing sample menu on website with good variety of puddings, we had 2 fruit and icecream options, various flavours of ice cream ( interesting flavours and home made) or cheese. If you did not like icecream you'd be in trouble. Having said that the cheese board was excellent. Starters and mains varied and interesting
