Prawn cocktail rather dry needed more dressing.Gravy in jug for beef & not poured over. The eton mess was a dollop of over whipped cream, little meringue, 5 blueberries, 3 raspberries & two bits of fig stuck on the top (which are not berries) & little coulis very poor. Good coffee! Welcome from front of house excellent!

Very nice meal, the menu was a bit restricted as expected being a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Sunday lunch was exquisite. The service was well above the norm and the attention to detail creditable. We will certainly be back.

We had a friendly welcome by the new owner and were offered a drink in the bar . We were then ushered into a comfortable lounge with sweeping views of the garden while we chose our meal.
We were offered a snack prepared by the chef while we finished our drink. When the food was ready we were asked to go through to the dining room which looks out onto an amazing centuries old cedar tree. The food was beautifully presented and we were both happy with our choices. The owner was pleasant and asked us how our meal was and after dinner showed us some rooms for future reference. The rooms looked spacious and well presented. We may try and stay here at some point in the future.
In all a very pleasant evening.
