Such a creative, vegan menu - the food was delicious and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful! The best dish was definitely the vegan scones with jam and whipped coconut cream - delicious!

This was a birthday treat for my daughter who is vegan. We were expecting something rather grand and were to be honest, disappointed. The service was excellent - very nice staff. The vegan afternoon tea was presented on a slate plate with everything on it for each of us - sandwiches, scones, strawberries and coconut cream (and one tiny pot of jam). It would have so much nicer to be presented on a stand so that you could just help yourself to whatever you wanted. After that, we were presented with chef's cakes on a slate plate. I am not vegan - I thought the food was ok. My daughter who is vegan thought it was good but not exceptional. Drinks were plentiful and generous - we were constantly offered more hot chocolate, tea etc. The non alcoholic fizz was Elderflower and we were given one glass - it would have been nice to be have been offered another glass. Also, there was not much atmosphere in this rather dark restaurant. Really rather disappointed sadly.

Quite a strange experience. The restaurant was almost empty, and remained so, even though I had found it difficult to find an available time slot online. The food was delicious, but for £29 pretty sparse! Friendly service.

The service was excellent, very pleasant & lots of smile.
That was for me better than the afternoon tea.

Small, very modern, very quite restaurant.
Food wise- the selection that was offered in the 'afternoon tea' menu felt much smaller than other menus. Also the portions of sandwiches were much smaller. I expected more sophisticated food for the price (29£). Not the best raw menu I have tried.

Our afternoon tea was delicious, interesting and very innovative - loved it

If you want to have vegan afternoon tea, this is your place to go! My mother and me went there for my birthday because the vegan afternoon tea menu sounded amazing and I'm really glad we did, the food tasted amazing! The cake was delicious and we even had scones with jam and vegan coconut cream which was really good. It was amazing to have a proper vegan afternoon tea and I can definitely recommend it to any vegans and non-vegans!

We had the afternoon tea - lovely sandwiches and cakes with unlimited coffee or tea! I would say we could have done with large research sandwiches but they were delicious

We ordered the vegan afternoon tea and we had a fantastic meal. The friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff were able to advise us on every part of the menu including the various teas. The teas themselves were imaginative and unusual and every one tasted fantastic. We were able to have as many teas and coffees as we liked.

On to the food- we both traditionally have very large appetites but we left feeling absolutely stuffed from the excellent food. The sandwiches were a good size and very tasty. We particularly liked the tempeh and the cashew nut and sundried tomato. The warm scones were very tasty, served with a coconut cream (which we felt could have been a little bit thicker), strawberries and jam. The trio of cakes at the end were each fantastic. Firstly a warm apple pie, followed by a chocolate and beetrot brownie and finally a very tasty carrot cake.

Would definitely recommend and will visit again soon.
