Great vegan afternoon tea with friendly service and quiet atmosphere. Excellent value for the price considering London. Of course, some things could be better - scones and cream for example, but the food was top notch nevertheless and the teas were also very good.

Small, very modern, very quite restaurant.
Food wise- the selection that was offered in the 'afternoon tea' menu felt much smaller than other menus. Also the portions of sandwiches were much smaller. I expected more sophisticated food for the price (29£). Not the best raw menu I have tried.

If you want to have vegan afternoon tea, this is your place to go! My mother and me went there for my birthday because the vegan afternoon tea menu sounded amazing and I'm really glad we did, the food tasted amazing! The cake was delicious and we even had scones with jam and vegan coconut cream which was really good. It was amazing to have a proper vegan afternoon tea and I can definitely recommend it to any vegans and non-vegans!

We had the afternoon tea - lovely sandwiches and cakes with unlimited coffee or tea! I would say we could have done with large research sandwiches but they were delicious

We ordered the vegan afternoon tea and we had a fantastic meal. The friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff were able to advise us on every part of the menu including the various teas. The teas themselves were imaginative and unusual and every one tasted fantastic. We were able to have as many teas and coffees as we liked.

On to the food- we both traditionally have very large appetites but we left feeling absolutely stuffed from the excellent food. The sandwiches were a good size and very tasty. We particularly liked the tempeh and the cashew nut and sundried tomato. The warm scones were very tasty, served with a coconut cream (which we felt could have been a little bit thicker), strawberries and jam. The trio of cakes at the end were each fantastic. Firstly a warm apple pie, followed by a chocolate and beetrot brownie and finally a very tasty carrot cake.

Would definitely recommend and will visit again soon.

Really enjoyed the cashew sandwich with the basil and sundried tomatoes. Also loved the scones. Tea selection was good but the Darjeeling tea was all out, despite it only being 1:30 when we arrived. Less fond of the humus sandwich and the tofu scramble which were a bit bland. Cake selections were nice but not very exciting. Overall a very pleasant experience.

To be honest, I wouldn't go back. The waitress was nice enough but not very attentive.
We didn't care for the sandwiches. One bite and we were finished! Our plate with scones and strawberries arrived and it looked thrown together. And our scones were OVER cooked - hard!!! However, the two tables next to me received what looked like a beautifully displayed plate. Their strawberries were all standing in a pretty design - ours were in a heap. I could only do 1 scone - too hard to cut with a knife. The desserts were ok. The carrot cake was dry. The room and China - nothing special at all. Like I said, I would never go back. Felt like I waisted 2 precious hours I could have used to tour someplace else.

We were famished by the time we arrived for the afternoon tea and left having struggled to eat the last course! Vegan food can be a hit or miss for me but the food here is actually delicious!
The complimentary drink at the start had a subtle fruity taste. I almost went for another, having practically gulped mine. The first course was sandwiches, out of which my friend and I preffered the smoked BBQ, scrambled tofu and cashew nut cream one. The scones were next on the course with a heavenly coconut cream and fresh strawberries! They did become hard very fast, but delicious when eaten warm. This was quite filling that by the timre the desserts arrived, we were quite full. I did however, try the trio of desserts and loved the chocolate one! Overall I liked the food, the restaurant itself was very beautiful and comfortable to sit in, close to the station and the service was generally good. It became quite busy and that's where the service slipped quite substantially, which is the only poor experience we had.

Unfortunately the experience was not what I had expected. The food was enjoyable and we really enjoyed the scones and cream but the service was very slow. I arrived early and explained I wanted to wait for the other two guests as my booking was for 2pm. Around 1:50 myself and one guest were approached by staff who told us we were expected to leave by 2:30-3pm so did we know when the other guest would arrive. I explained the booking was for 2pm but was told they had given me another slot and gave our slot to someone else. If this was the case why was it not explained to me when I arrived? If I had been told this would be the situation then I would have waited in reception rather then allow myself to be taken to the table. 30 minutes to eat an afternoon tea is not acceptable. In the end we weren't rushed out at all and we were not told we had more time but rather slightly ignored while our plates were empty and we were ready for the next course. For such a small restaurant it seems strange that a table should be neglected in this way.

At one point in the beginning of the meal the wrong drink was brought out, we explained that we did not order it and were responded to with raised eyebrows and 'i'll check'. Only once this had been checked in the kitchen did the staff member return to remove the drink from our table, did he think we were lying? Unfortunately as I thought we had to leave asap I was slightly anxious for the rest of the meal. The waiter and waitress were not unfriendly but the service was not efficient and communication was not good. For the price that is charged for this afternoon tea I would expect a better quality of service.

    Thank you,
    Miss Khaliq
