We dined around 8pm on a Tuesday evening, and were suprised to find the restaurant almost empty. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and more in keeping with a modern French restaurant than an Indian restaurant. While our order was taken promptly, the meal took a while to arrive. When we asked why, it was explained to us that everything was cooked from fresh, which was a good thing to know. The menu selection was excellent, although by catering for more high level tastes, it made choosing a suitable dish (that you'd heard of before) a little difficult. However, when it arrived the food was delicious, although the portions were on the smaller size (again in keeping with the way fancy French cuisine is served). While we knew, before we dined, that the place wasn't cheap, a £200+ bill for a meal for three, including a child of 12, was a bit of a shock to the system. While my overall impression is that the meal was of good quality, the price is a little off-putting, with no special offers or deals, often available at other high class restaurants across the region.
