Boasting views of the River Wear and Durham Cathedral, Collage Restaurant at Radisson Blu Hotel Durham offers a contemporary smokehouse experience. The bright, contemporary restaurant benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows and a well-stocked bar.
The Collage Restaurant menu focuses on merging innovative cooking techniques with fresh local produce. From the grill, try the prime beef burger stack with Cheddar, fries and apple slaw, or the pulled pork sandwich with barbecue mayo and deep-fried apple rings. Other favourites include the pearl barley risotto, and fish of the day with creamed kale and roasted butternut squash.
Creative desserts at Collage include apple and blackberry crumble with vanilla pod ice cream, and a selection of cheeses with homemade chutney. From the bar, sample the knowledgeable wine selection, and a choice of spirits and cocktails.
Overlooking the historic city, Collage Restaurant Durham sits a short stroll from the banks of the River Wear. Durham Castle, Durham Cathedral and Durham Rail Station are all within a 20-minute walk of the restaurant.

Shocking from start to finish!.
My wife and I were sat down ok but we're left totally unattended for 20 mins before being asked if we wanted a drink.my wife's crab starter had shell in it which when we told them we were informed that it comes in pre prepared so it wasn't the chefs fault.Obviously not made fresh in the restaurant then.
Main meals were cold with chips resembling those from McDonald's and my lamb dish having very little lamb on it.
We asked for the bill because there was no way we were paying for a dessert after the shambles of the previous courses. The waitress strangely asked if we wanted the bill splitting(we are a married couple in our 40s not two teenagers on a first date), to which we replied no just how you normally get the bill. She returned 5 mins later after much drama at the till with 2 separate bills for us.
We had to say we thought we were part of some tv wind up show and ant and Dec were going to appear any second.
The manager came to us apologised and said she would take care of the bill quite rightly so I think.
And all this when there was only 5 tables in use in the restaurant so beware you may be disappointed
