Had a fantastic evening with my Husband, the food was out of this world, such high quality and great value for money. The service was impeccable, very friendly and attentive staff. We have already said to family that we must go back and have already put dates in our diaries. A must visit for anyone.

Only one chief on so food order was delayed. We were not offered bread or anything until we asked if any nibbles were available in the interim. We felt menu was a little limited for none red meat eaters or those gluten free.
Cleanliness of back room: Cobwebs spotted from windows to curtains. Smears on large mirror above the table. Big delay on sensor light coming on in ladies so was left in dark for about 15-20 secs.
Food was very enjoyable. Service was good overall too.
A nice, friendly pub. We love that it is dog friendly too.

Fantastic food, brilliant service and a lovely atmosphere. The steak was cooked to perfection and the wild boar was device. I would recommend just going for the specials board. All finished off with a delicious coffee nothing like the bitter rubbish on the high street.

Lovely restaurant. Clearly very popular, lots of customers. Maybe not for a quiet intimate dining experience but nevertheless the food was delicious and good value for money. Would definitely eat there again.

Service good, food nice except for my Husbands steak which he said was only warm rather than hot, I did say he should mention it but he felt because it was cooked and warm it was not worth mentioning,I felt that was the wrong decision but it was his meal and not my place to say anything and because you kindly deducted 10% from the meal for my Birthday month that maybe compensated.

The food was an 8 out of 10. My starter was scallops, very slightly undercooked with the slight odd taste at first I though it might have been the Balsamic vinegar but it wasn't. It wasn't a preservative like ammonia either. I know scallops should feel slightly under rather than over but these were about 5 seconds off being right. My better half had the duck salad, this was amazing, I'd wished I'd had that myself. Then for main I had the Wagyu steak, this was the fattiest steak I have ever eaten and I have eaten steak all over the world, I challenged the waiter who asked the chef and I was then told this was because it was from the Ribeye cut and this was why. I was told I could have this at the smaller size price of £41 instead of £47, still not worth it but I accepted. This came with just leaves no chips or sides despite bookatable menu showing "All streaked come with chips or French fries. I chose chips which were very nice, mushrooms also nice and Cabbage with bacon, equally delightful. Other half had Beer Battered cod, very flavoursome but the thick parts as with my Scallops very very slightly undercooked. Her chips were hard and tasteless which was odd as they were supposed to be the same as mine. Desserts were amazing, I had Banoffee pie and Mrs had the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. The biggest let down was the service, arrogant and did not make me feel welcome at all, tried to up sell drinks and other food items. Equally damaging was the fact that the same waiter, brought a diabetic a full fat coke when specifically asked for a diet.this was found out upon receipt of the bill. This could have had very serious consequences and they still charged for the coke. Disgusting. I will never eat there again due to attitude and the neglect of listening.
