Housed in a picturesque country building, Prezzo Stowmarket brings casual Italian dining to this quaint market town. A good selection of cocktails are offered at the bar and there is a pretty outdoor area, perfect for an al fresco meal.

The Prezzo menu presents a range of exciting dishes, crafted according to the season’s best ingredients. Sample freshly-grilled flatbread salads topped with veggie-friendly bella lodi cheese, or wild mushroom-loaded pasta, pizza and risotto. All the favourite antipasti dishes are on offer, as well as speciality folded calzones.

Start your visit with a fruity, fizzy pre-dinner aperitivo from the Prezzo cocktail list, and finish with indulgent desserts like tiramisu, panna cotta, and chocolate hazelnut cheesecake.

A popular, family-friendly restaurant close to Ipswich, Prezzo is a stone's throw from Regal Theatre while Stowmarket Rail Station is an 8-minute walk away.

The food was excellent as always but the service was very poor as it is always when we visit here. You wait too long between courses and there is not enough staff to cope properly when it is really busy. We have also dined at the one at Bury St Edmunds and the service there is a million times better. The staff at Stowmarket have never be able to provide an excellent service from the day it opened.

We waited an hour for our food after chasing them twice and not being told anything. Then when the manager and waiter came over they tried to upside us to cancel the meal as the chef was ill! We said no we wanted our food and waited. Then we order desserts after eventually getting our meals asking how long they said 10 minutes it was 40 minutes all together we wait an hour and 50 minutes for food!!!

The chicken and asparagus risotto bore no resemblance to a risotto. It was a tasteless, gloopy sauce with bits of precooked rice and some veg - more a savoury rice pudding than a dish of carefully cooked rice grains. Very poor. The pumpkin tortelli would have been quite nice but the pasta was still leathery from undercooking. Overall, I think we've parted company with Prezzo.

Average - expensive and not worth the money

Restaurant was reasonably busy. Staff were ok but a little disorganised. We were asked for desserts twice by two different waiters. Good was good quality but desserts at over £6 each were expensive and the gluten free choice was limited to ice cream or granita. Is that really a choice.

Air con was most welcome. Comfortable seating and a friendly welcome. We had the 'Euro' menu, 2 courses for 9.95 with a glass of prosecco. Nice food. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for our wine but overall it was an enjoyable evening.b

We often dine at prezzo , we enjoy it very much but I do feel you should make your conditions clearer. I recently dined at bury St Edmund's . I had club card vouchers and it was my daughter's birthday so you sent her a please do free voucher. I know you cannot use 2 prezzo vouchers together but club card is not a prezzo voucher, it's club card which is effectively money, so I asked if I could pay with club card and use the please do voucher, yes they said , that's fine, and it was. Now last night was a different story! Again I checked with the waiter that I could use both together and again was told of course ! When the bill came the please do was on the bill, so I explained 2 the manager and he was awful ! My table clearly heard me ask and clearly heard the answer.i didn't like the managers attitude and I found it all very embarrassing. Whatever your conditions are, all of your restaurants need to be singing from the same hymn sheet.
