Unfortunately we both ordered risotto , different types, but it was bland and tasteless so we both had a very poor dining experience which was disappointing for us both. Even the starter was not as good as expected.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch yesterday. one light pizza - excellent - and one carbonara - also very good. Meals took rather a long time to arrive - at least 45 mins - fortunately we were not in a hurry.

Surprised to find an Italian restaurant that doesn't have grappa.

The restaurant is nicely laid out and very classy. I visited this restaurant on Friday 9.9.16 at 17:30, with my husband, having booked a table via BookaTable. We were given menus and asked whether we would like some olives whilst we were deciding what to eat. We said that that would be nice and ordered our drinks. The olives did not arrive and we reminded the waiter who said that they were on their way. Our drinks arrived and we gave the waiter our food order but still no olives! The bottle of Sparkling Water was warm and the waiter's answer was to put ice in it. I expect a bottle of sparkling water to have come out of a fridge and be icy cold not warm!
The olives eventually arrived at the same time as our starters and we were appalled that we were served just 8 olives for £3.29, which makes them over 41p each!
The tomatoes and dressing for my bruschetta were really tasty but the toast was almost too crunchy to eat as if it had been toasted a few hours ago and had gone hard. My husband's starter of Italian Hummus was really good. My pizza was lovely, really tasty but the extra red onions and peppers, of which they were very few, were not worth the extra money which I was charged. My dessert of blood orange sorbet was tasty but was frozen solid and very difficult to eat. We have eaten at many different Prezzo's all over the country and this was probably our worst experience.

After visiting other Prezzo restaurants I selected the Manchester Deansgate restaurant. Although it was quiet, the service was quite slow.
The food was lovely but there are a couple of points I was unhappy with:
1. My friend had to wait a while for his food after we had all got ours.
2. We were dining from the set menu and I asked what the gluten free starter was - the waitress replied "nothing"!! I had to tell her there was actually garlic bread on the GF menu, so she told me she
Could do that for me, as though she was being generous!
Other than that I would visit again

Had a lovely meal sat in the sunshine. The staff were very pleasant, food was good, especially the sticky toffee pudding.
