Situated conveniently for the cinema in Didcot, we often go to Prezzo for dinner. We like the chicken, bacon and avocado salad. Not keen on all the requests to buy extras such as olives, but food is nice and reasonable value when bought with their frequent offers. The service on this occasion was slow and impersonal with no attempt at all to engage with customers. Left a decent tip but was a bit put off by the comment "do you want change"!

Very efficient welcome & seating. Bit difficult to attract the attention of serving staff but the food was very good. Two of the party had seasonal specials which were particularly nice.

Booked table for 6.30. Restaurant was quite busy. Didn't have to wait too long for order to be taken. Ordered a sharing meat platter for 2. Would have served a hungry 1! Small amounts of meat, and a pathetic teaspoon size piece of mozarella on a wrens nest sized portion of rocket (hardly a bed!). Tasted good, but such mean portion for £12. Pizzas were both good but had ordered a mixed salad with it. That's a few different lettuce leaves in a bowl, 4 pieces of cucumber and 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half. The sort of thing you'd put out for a pet rabbit, but not what I'd call a mixed salad. otherwise all fine, staff were busy and looked a but harassed. Had to hang around for the bill.

We often visit Prezzo in Didcot, so decided it would be a good place to go when my brother and his family visited. There were 9 of us in total. On arrival we were seated but it was 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted a drink (and only after I'd politely pointed out that while laying tables was important perhaps looking after the customers was more so!!) After that the service improved greatly. The food was delicious (although 2 sides of fries finally arrived once we were half way through our meal.) It just felt like they were very understaffed, which shouldn't be the case during half term. Overall though, I would return - I just hope hope the service matches the quality of food next time.

The staff are very friendly and efficient but there are just not enough of them to cope with amount of diners. This is the second time I have been in and there have been long waits to get served and the poor staff are obviously under pressure with no time for niceties. People ( including) us were going up to the till to pay the bill as it took so long. Last time I was in a family holding a 13th birthday party simply walked out as they had been waiting so long, taking their cake with them! The food is excellent but I think you will find that as Didcot grows and there is more competition you may have to address the staffing issues.
