Creating a wonderful fusion of modern British dishes with strong Italian influences, Porro is a sleek, contemporary setting that celebrates regional ingredients and social dining.

The Porro menu brings together Italian staples with regional recipes – favourites include roasted belly pork with fennel and apple purée, roast squash and salsa verde, and pasta recipes like pappardelle with braised Welsh ox cheek and parmesan. There are dishes perfect for sharing, like Monmouthshire lamb and Herefordshire pork meatball, as well as roasted artichoke, speck de montagne and anchovy pizza.

Carefully sourced wines feature at Porro Cardiff, as well as a selection of beers and ciders. On the Porro dessert menu, there are irresistible sweets like almond, lemon and orange cake with mascarpone, and dark chocolate torte with salted chocolate sauce and hazelnut ice cream.

Offering a perfect blend of British and Mediterranean flavours, Porro sits on the bustling Llandaff High Street, 4 minutes' drive from Fairwater Rail Station.

We had a lovely experience on our first visit to Porro. We were a little disappointed that, because of the Rugby, the menu was a bit restricted, however what was available was delicious and interesting. We are vegetarian so sometimes we don't get clever food but that was not the case here. We can't wait to re visit on a night when the full menu is available.

A really good meal food quality was excellent. Was a bit surprised that we were put upstairs as there was room in the main part downstairs. This meant that we felt a bit isolated as we were only a group of 3 for my daughters 26 th birthday .

Sunday lunch for the second time. Whitebait starter slightly disappointing - I never like to taste the oil on a fried dish and it was far more salty than spicy, as a devilled dish should be.

Compensated for by an excellent lamb dinner, and my companions were equally pleased with their choices. Vegetables perfectly cooked. Gravy even better than our previous visit - but all three of us would prefer it to be served separately so that we could choose how much and on what to put it. I don't expect a restaurant to put, say, salt, vinegar and ketchup on my chips for me, same principle should apply!

Service was friendly and attentive throughout except for an excessively long delay trying to pay.
