Set in the vibrant city of Edinburgh, Pomegranate restaurant is nestled at the top of Leith Walk. Inspired by the kitchens of the Middle East and North Africa, Pomegranate also offers a secluded decking area to enjoy the relaxing flavours of shisha.

Paying homage to the cuisine of countries like Lebanon and Morocco, the Pomegranate menu offers colourful sharing-style dishes and traditional main courses. Hot and cold mezze dishes include seasoned mince lamb, mixed with sultanas and encased in crushed rice, whilst the mains include succulent chicken breast, marinated in tomatoes and turmeric with a hint of green chilli & parsley.

Drawing on influence from the Middle East, the warm ambience of Pomegranate in Edinburgh is enhanced by vibrant hanging lanterns and cosy Arabic-style cushions. Lounge in the confines of the private terrace, and choose from an array of non-alcoholic wines and beers, or traditional Arabic coffee and cha.

Pomegranate in Leith is only a 10-minute walk from Edinburgh Rail Station.

Excellent food and friendly service. Bring your own drinks a bonus too, with a Tesco express around the corner.

Would recommend sticking to mezze, mains were fine, but too much of the one thing. Felt a little rushed by staff after finishing our meal, when we had nearly three quarters of an hour left on our pre theatre booking.

Fantastic meal, we went for a selection of tapas. 6 tapas between 3 people and it was just the right amount. Very fast service and friendly staff.

Table wasn't ready when we arrived. We were subsequently directed to a table where a waiter and waitress were arguing about seating arrangements. Restaurant was freezing cold. BYOB but we were told no glasses were available. Had to wait for 40 minutes before glasses were provided, by which time our meals were almost finished! Falafel were dried out, aubergine was tough and bean dish was uninspiring. No one asked if we were enjoying the food. Not an enjoyable evening, very disappointed.

This is a great little find. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We had tapas and the chicken wings, hummus and naan bread were amazing.
Very reasonably priced and would definitely go back.

Food was delicious, however it wasn't very hot in temperature - more warm which was a bit disappointing. No other complaints - service speedy and friendly. It does seem to take a whike to get the bill though, needed to ask a couple of times. 3.5/5

We had a table for 8. The servers were charming and very helpful. The order was large and there was a degree of confusion, but the small omissions were readily made up by the rapid appearance of the omitted dishes.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious mezze dishes and will definitely book again.
