In cosmopolitan Leopold Square, Platillos serves tasty tapas in a funky 70’s-style setting. A lodge-style dining room is set over 2 floors, and the sweeping bar is lined with red leather stools.

Eclectic dishes on the Platillos menu takes inspiration from across the globe, with flavoursome dishes ranging from a Moroccan-spiced squash and apricot tagine, to a sizzling rump steak skewer with mustard oregano marinade. Tempting continental favourites are served for dessert, with offerings including chocolate churros, or a sweet baklava bombshell.

Diners can also enjoy a meal at the lively bar, or an exotic blend from the Platillos restaurant cocktail menu. A classic selection of martinis and mojitos are given a fresh fruit twist, with blends ranging from blueberry and cinnamon, to cooling elderflower.

With a laidback vibe, family-friendly Platillos Sheffield also offers a varied children’s menu. Orchard Square Shopping Centre is just 2 minutes’ walk away.

we were booked at 5pm. Menu was from 12-7 or main menu. Therefore reasonable choice of dishes and prices. Wine good price at [$] for bottle of house white, red or rose. Had rose with a friend, it was lovely. We all had tapas, but no desserts, although they sounded lovely. We were off to theatre shortly afterwards

Nice food, good service, friendly atmosphere.Only bad point that you don't get a lot of food for your money! This can be a problem with tapas as portion sizes vary so widely between different establishments but really when you pay [$] for one dish you expect a sizeable plate full. As my friend said " I enjoyed that but I could have eaten the same amount again!!"

8:30pm Saturday evening. We had set tapas menu for five aand there was plenty to eat. The service was excellent and the waiter made good reccommendations for our dessert choices. We lingered in the resturant and were under pressure to leave. The only downside is that as all the food arrived together some of it went cold before we ate. The ladies toilet facilities were poor and a noisy private party made it difficult to have a converstaion. I would recommend this restaurant for a mid-week venue as it usually has a a more relaxed vibe.

Saturday night quite late, very busy buzzing atmosphere, food delicious, staff delightful. Manager ensured first class service for all. Most welcoming and warm ambience, lots of fun. Joan Crookes

Dined at 8pm Saturday. My partner and I ordered the set menu. Various things were missing when brought to the table, sauce for the pattatas bravas and one of the meat dishes. The prawn in garlic were tasteless and luke warm. There was some beautiful dishes too, the lamb Tagine and squid were favourites. The staff were rushed off there feet and it was hard to get their attention. Although they were helpful and polite. We were also given another tables bill. All in all an average evening. We had been previously and really enjoyed it, so was disappointed by our Recent visit.
