Bit disappointing. Hadn't been to Planet Hollywood for years and it's nowhere near what it used to be - the decor/building/food/etc were all quite tatty and sparce. Staff were friendly but no fuss made over my son's 5th birthday which was mentioned upon booking.

HUGE dissapointment. Atmosphere, food were terrible. We pre booked, one of only 10 pre bookings on the sheet yet we were shoved on the ambiance free upper level . Which can only be classed at best as a canteen. My wifes salad was incredibly dry my eldest sons lasagne was way overcooked and hard and my chicken burger was without the dressing which i only realised afer id eaten some and realised why it was so dry and tasteless . At no point was a satisfaction check done during the meal we were however asked if we wanted more drinks . What does that tell you ?. When our table was cleared we had left most of the lasagne over half of the burger and some of the salad yet when the waiting staff cleared our plates they did not ask if everything was ok, which obviously they should have given that our plates were still full of food . Serious lack of training there. They did however ask if we would like to order desert !!! Really !.They even managed to get the bill completely wrong This was not our first visit and we were so looking forward to going back. What a let down.

All a bit disappointing really, movie memorabilia was a bit dull and not very current, certainly not child friendly for younger children. There were music videos playing throughout the meal with no reference to movies, either songs from movies or theme tunes, except for frozen. Had to send my burger back as it was over cooked and only luke warm, replacement that arrived was still over cooked but at least it was hotter, couldn't be bothered to send it back again. Of all things you would have thought a burger at planet Hollywood would have been good! Mojito was good and our waiter was good.

We had a nice welcome from the door staff and were shown to our table. We had a 2-4-1 menu for ourselves and our teenage children on the rail ticket offer.
As I am a vegetarian, I asked our waitress for The Holly Wood Bowl salad, but a substitute for the chicken and bacon? I did not mind really what it would be be as long as it was veggie. The answer came back as a 'no'. She said the chef would not do me this salad as a veggie. No options, no alternatives at all!
I would have been happy with grilled mushrooms to be honest. She said I could have a shrimp salad but would have to pay an additional £14.
I was a bit surprised, but instead asked for the Caesar Salad which is also on the 2-4-1 menu but without the chicken please. She said this was fine.
Our meals came out, my husband had a burger as did my daughter, my son the club sandwich and they all looked really nice. My salad came out, but, with all the chicken on top!
I mentioned to my waitress I was veggie and had asked for without chicken, she was going to take it away but we had a theater booking so I said it was fine, I would take it off myself as I did not want to wait for another meal. My salad was really nice but I know many veggies would not have kept the dish if it had meat on. So that is worth mentioning in our review.
All the food was very nice. drinks are very expensive, £3 for a glass of cola?
The restaurant is very entertaining in terms of the movie props and my children loved that. Its a bit shabby in parts and could do with a refresh.
The bill included an addition of 12.5 % tip. I did know that prior to booking and must admit I do not agree with it as a tip should be an acknowledgement of the level of service and my meal was wrong.
The thought that springs to mind is that staff should be paid by the owner, not the customer. Tips are an additional perk to say thank you for an enjoyable meal and experience.
To sum up, great place visually, lovely food, nice staff but needs a refresh.
