Saw a piece on PJ's from Bookatable and thought it might be worth a go for lunch. It wasn't at all what we expected! I thought it might be a bit of a meaty burger joint, but it's a proper restaurant. I had chorizo scotch egg for a starter and my friend had Arbroath Smokie - both excellent. He then had a fish course and I had a blue cheese burger. The burger was sensational, the chips beyond belief! They actually tasted of potato for a change. The wine was good value and the service was excellent. The interior is wonderful and relaxing. Booked to go again in a couple of days. It's that good.

My party enjoyed the meal and the ambience. It rounded off a lovely day because we had seen War Horse during the afternoon.

First time here sat down at 4-30pm on Saturday. Good atmosphere, friendly staff nice ambiance. Decided to order the speciality fish dish as a starter. Regrettably it was served 'fridge cold' and was therefore practically tasteless. Prawn was also overcooked and mushy. Salmon was not fully cooked through. Main course was much better though small portions throughout. Definately needed 3 courses. Treacle tart was amazing. Would consider returning in case I was just unlucky this time.

Lunchtime Mothers Day the set 3 course menu was very good value. Only moan was the price of beer-why have they stopped selling Krononburg? Peroni at [$] a pint is a little excessive even for Covent Garden.Still enjoyed lunch and will no doubt be back again

New Years Eve... the return. After a splendid evening in 2010 I decided once again to celebrate at PJ's. Ok, so I put my head out the door to hear the fireworks, but otherwise we missed the crowds and had an excellent evening, food was first-rate, great atmosphere, very sensible prices for London. Just the best place any time of day when out in London. Thanks to all the staff.
