Described by Time Out magazine as ‘one of Upper Street’s best kept secrets’, Pizzeria Oregano is an independently-run Italian restaurant in Islington that takes pride in its traditional wood-fired pizzas. Named after the ‘pizza herb’, the restaurant uses freshly sourced ingredients, many of which are imported directly from Italy.
Mediterranean character on the Pizzeria Oregano menu shines through in speciality seafood pastas, which include a clam and mussel linguine with white wine, tomato and parsley. A diverse selection of rustic pizzas can always be upgraded with extra ingredients from pine nuts to prawns, while calzones include the eponymous Oregano, with ricotta cheese, Italian sausage, ham, mushrooms and oregano.
Meat-lovers can tuck into tagliata, an Italian classic of sliced sirloin steak with rosemary, garlic, olive oil and rocket, topped with parmesan shavings. To conclude, traditional ice creams become even more indulgent when topped with an optional liqueur extra, and classic house desserts such as tiramisu and panna cotta can be enjoyed until late in the simple yet modern layout of the Pizzeria Oregano restaurant in London.
A friendly neighbourhood restaurant, Pizzeria Oregano is tucked away in St Alban’s Place, a 9-minute walk from Angel Tube Station.

The deal was great - unlimited prosecco and pizza for an hour and a half for £25. We were left the bottle to top ourselves up which was good and they were on top of when we had finished a bottle. The pizza was delicious - although quite big so you didn't need more than one! For the prosecco it was still a good deal.
Service was a bit off at times, although friendly they asked us to move tables half way through our meal and then rushed us to pay they bill saying they needed the table.
