Serving up irresistible dim sum by the riverside, Ping Pong Southbank is a vibrant location to enjoy traditional Chinese food. A covered al fresco terrace and the Ping Pong restaurant’s huge windows offer great London views, while upstairs the buzzing cocktail bar has Martinis, coolers and more.

Offering a wide range of Asian treats, the sleek Ping Pong restaurants pay homage to the ancient traditions of Chinese tea houses. With a big choice of dumplings and steamed buns, the Ping Pong menu also offers an array of fragrant Chinese soups and rice pots.

There are plenty of familiar Chinese delicacies, with spring rolls, prawn toasts and honey-glazed spare ribs. For dessert, try Ping Pong’s banana and chocolate spring roll or the ice cream filled rice pastry, mochi, and finish with a lively Ping Pong cocktail or soothing Oriental tea.

Right by the Southbank Centre and close to Tate Modern, Ping Pong Southbank restaurant enjoys a stunning location by the Thames. Ping Pong Southbank is a 4-minute walk from London Waterloo Train Station.

We went for a birthday dinner and really enjoyed the whole experience. The food took ages to come unfortunately so by the time it came, we were so starving that it never seemed to be enough. Whatever we had though was so delicious and the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was lively.

The restaurant itself is a little overcrowded but that is to be expected in central London. However the waiting staff were fantastic, always polite and refilling our bottomless Belinis!
A member of our group had a shrimp allergy so they bought over a different menu especially for him that removed all shrimp items.
The food quality was fantastic, especially the prawn toast and the char siu buns!
    Overall a fantastic dining experience!

The lazy sumdays offer is very good, it would be even better if a couple of the seasonal special were included. The food was very tasty though, came quickly and the restaurant catered for my friends baby and heated up her food for her too. They were very friendly and helpful.

Really lovely evening at Ping Pong, Southbank. Great food, drinks and made all the better by our wonderful waitress, Szilui. Thank you :)

Lovely food, shame the set menu description was misleading! The 'main course' consisted of 1 dumpling of each listed in the menu, essentially 5 in all. This is really a starter and not a main course. The restaurant was also very very busy with tables stuck very close to each other.

Ping Pong provided a great venue and lovely food and wine for a special birthday celebration for 17 people. They gave us a quiet and flexible space for a family gathering and the service was excellent. Full marks on a busy day for them.
