I dined early evening, prior to going to the theatre. It was very relaxed and the service was excellent - the staff are cheerful and friendly and make you feel very welcome. It feels very homely and authentic. The food was nice and service was quick and efficient, whilst maintaining a friendly and easy going atmosphere. The friendly Italian manager is extremely likable and addresses his customers by name, he and his staff are very accommodating and keen to please. Although it could do with a little bit of a face lift on the outside and perhaps some new furnishings on the inside - first impressions are deceptive, this is nice, tasty, Italian food. Great for a pre theatre dinner, or a relaxed lunch. Children are welcomed and special requests readily accommodated. On a first visit you are made to feel like a regular. Which is nice. It's nothing fancy, just friendly with charming service and decent food.
