In the quaint town centre, Piccolino – Clitheroe is nestled in the shadow of the historic castle keep. Diners can watch Piccolino’s fresh pasta being created in the buzzing open kitchen.

With a vibrant and contemporary atmosphere, Piccolino restaurant evokes the charm of traditional Italian dining. Bringing the finest quality seasonal ingredients to the high street, Piccolino offers tasty, hand-prepared dishes. The varied Piccolino menu offers Italian favourites as well as new, ambitious combinations, like roast pumpkin, pancetta and gorgonzola risotto, or a platter loaded with fresh, tasty antipasti.

An exciting canapés menu offers intense tasting flavours, ideal for sampling with a glass from the extensive, well-selected wine list at Piccolino, or an option from the international beer selection. Piccolino takes pride in its range of classically decadent desserts, like dark chocolate and amaretto mousse, or creamy pannacotta with mulled plums and orange.

In a bright, airy dining room with minimalist decor, Piccolino Clitheroe sits just 7 minutes’ walk from Clitheroe Rail Station.

Ambient atmosphere; beautiful food perfectly cooked would definitely recommend it. Chairs not very comfy though .. shame as perfect otherwise.

Very disappointing. We are regulars at the restaurant. The waiter was not at all smiley in fact he was quite miserable. We ordered a bottle of wine but had to ask 2 times for an ice bucket. We sat nearby to the gents toilets not very pleasent constantly people walking passed the table and there was a draft each time the door opened and closed. My main course I had to send back as it wasn't hot. We waited a long time for the starters and main courses.
I have to say I will not be rushing back very disappointed.

After being ushered to a tiny table stuffed in a corner where even if you had dinosaur hands you'd find it difficult to eat so we asked for another table which we got. We found it a little over priced especially when i had to send back my main course as it consisted of a flattened out piece of chicken (That resembled some sort of Findus frozen food) with spaghetti. We will NOT be returning.

The welcome, starter and main course were all very nice. The soup was delicious as was the spaghetti Bolognese I had. My partner had the ciabatta followed by lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it. The issues started once the mains were taken away. We had to wait 20 minutes to get a dessert menu, I further 20 minutes for a waiter to take the order and once the desserts came, the 'warm' chocolate fondant was cold. We then waited 20 minutes for somebody to come and take the plates but nobody did, we had had enough at that point and went to get the bill ourselves and pay. It was a very disappointing end to a meal that had started so well.
