In a stylish setting, Piccolino Chester sits next to the popular Grosvenor Shopping Centre. As well as the chic, spacious bar area, a bustling open kitchen allows diners to view the chefs at work.

With a vibrant and contemporary atmosphere, Piccolino restaurant evokes the charm of traditional Italian dining. Bringing the finest quality seasonal ingredients to the high street, Piccolino offers tasty, hand-prepared dishes. The varied Piccolino menu offers Italian favourites as well as new, ambitious combinations, like roast pumpkin, pancetta and gorgonzola risotto, or a platter loaded with fresh, tasty antipasti.

An exciting canapés menu offers intense tasting flavours, ideal for sampling with a glass from the extensive, well-selected wine list at Piccolino, or an option from the international beer selection. Piccolino takes pride in its range of classically decadent desserts, like dark chocolate and amaretto mousse, or creamy panna cotta with mulled plums and orange.

Table was booked for 19.15. Got there slightly late at 19.25. Had to get the attention of a waiter to order. Got our starter fairly quickly. We where still sitting there 2 hour's later waiting for our main meal 21.15. So in all, my experience here was aweful. Won't be returning.

A really wonderful dining experience with wonderfully fresh ingredients and clever twists on the Italian kitchen. The menu has lept another bar and makes it very difficult to choose as all looks so yummy. The bruschetta were so tasty and the langoustines absolutely amazing. The best veal you will find and freshly made pasta all served by happy Italian staff. Some excellent wines complete the picture. Thoroughly excellent dining.

My experience here was all round excellent, the service was amazing couldn't ask for more, the hosts welcomed us and made us feel comfortable straight away, every single one of the staff were polite and was always on hand, the food was amazing and the crab is excellent, the merlot wine was outstanding and was topped up without us asking, all around one of he best restaurants I've been too, would recommend it to anyone!

Good quality food and service, been to the Liverpool restaurant and Chester. Both were very pleasant visits

Fabulous! The menu choice was extensive, the fish dish I had was delicious. My friends also enjoyed their meals as well. They congratulated me only choice of restaurant. But the cherry on the cake was at the end when a young waiter appeared at the table with a plate of ice cream and birthday candle for my friend. He had heard us say it was her birthday, the staff were attentive and polite. I would highly recommend this restaurant to visitors and locals alike. Great atmosphere and decor made it a wonderful dining experience.

Far too expensive for the portions you get. Service was ok.

Arrived on time however, not seated for 20 minutes. Food not very hot, too much basil used in the meatball dish. In comparison to central Manchester's Piccolino very disappointing.

I visited Piccolino on several occasions. The experience was always more than satisfyinig. Unfortunately this time it was not. The waiter seemed distant and not willing to engage in conversation or make recommendations when asked. We were told that veal that we ordered comes with a side and there was none unfortunately so we had to order sides and wait. I did not leave the tip this time which should have been a message to the staff that we we not satisfied with the service.
I think I will give them one more chance however.
