With a stunning al fresco terrace with retractable roof, 20-metre open kitchen and island cocktail bar, Piccolino Alderley Edge is a unique space for chic Italian dining.

The Piccolino Alderley Edge menu showcases a refined Mediterranean menu made with only the finest ingredients, including salami aged 50 days in Northern Italy, and sheep's milk matured 3 months in Tuscany. The wood-fired oven is used to prepare dishes like sumptuous meatballs, naked spinach and ricotta dumplings, and a range of pizzas. Hand-filled ravioli comes packed with crab, chilli, lemon and shellfish butter, there are sumptuous risotto recipes, Mersea Island oysters, lobster, and tender veal escalope with Parma ham and sage.

A great range of delicate desserts are served at Piccolino Alderley Edge. There is authentic gelato and sorbet, while the restaurant's skilled pastry chefs prepare treats like dark chocolate and almond tart, and passionfruit cheesecake. A select wine list is also served, along with liqueurs and grappa.

Pairing authentic Mediterranean delicacies with a luxurious setting, Piccolino Alderley Edge sits moments from Alderley Edge Rail Station.

The restaurant has a great ambience and the service is wonderful. I love the prawn starter but the size of the bread was tiny compared to when I've had it other times. I'm not sure if this is because it was ordered from the 2 courses offer. Also the seabass was nice but the there were very few olives and potatoes. Had I known the portion size was that small I would have ordered a side salad or vegetables.

We are regular diners here. The food is great, always good quality and fresh. The staff are lovely, friendly, attentive and efficient. All of this plus the great ambience and stylish decor. What more could you want.

Great restaurant, love the walk-by display. Food generally excellent, but my wife's steak was nothing like a tasty or tender as first time around.
You desperately need better parking though.

The restaurant was easy to book online and the food was OK (tuna was over cooked, but the scallops - all 3 of them - were nice).
The evening was ruined because the restaurant was so cold. I sat for the whole time with my coat on. The problem wasn't down to bad heating, more to the design. The bar is outside and waiters were constantly going out and leaving the doors open. I'm not sure I would go again, but if I do, it will only be in the summer, during a heat wave.
