A great range of delicate desserts are served at Piccolino Alderley Edge. Everything great, food lovely, service smashing, love the decor; only thing was the music was too loud. We were having to shout at each other to be heard.

The ambience was great, and we had a booth looking on to the terrace. We both had pizzas, courgette chips and a lovely long fruit cocktail, the waiter was very efficient - in all, a lovely evening.

The meal was good. The only criticism was that the toasted bread with the soup was so hard it could have broken my teeth!

Doesn't live up to its Trip Advisor rating. Arrived slightly early. Told table would be two mins and would we like to wait at the outdoor bar. We went to the bar where we were ignored several times by bar staff. After we got drinks we waited 20 mins before asking when we could eat. Apparently manager looking for us yet we were sat right in front of restaurant opening! Took us to outdoor table at 9pm; we swopped to indoor table. Given menus and ignored another 20 mins. Had run out of several items including seafood. Food came fairly promptly after that - was okay, nothing more. Steak with frozen chips, nothing else, £30. Two courses, two drinks, £80+. Bar lively at first till scuffle broke out. Bar cleared. We're almost dining on our own at the end. Not a brilliant experience, won't be back.

The restaurant has a great ambience and the service is wonderful. I love the prawn starter but the size of the bread was tiny compared to when I've had it other times. I'm not sure if this is because it was ordered from the 2 courses offer. Also the seabass was nice but the there were very few olives and potatoes. Had I known the portion size was that small I would have ordered a side salad or vegetables.
