Excellent, friendly service and superb food. Could have done with a larger portion of veggies for two of us but that is a very minor criticism. Always reliably excellent experience which is why we go back time after time.

Our first trip to The Phoenix but definitely will not be our last. Food was absolutely superb. I had the belly pork which melted in the mouth. Mentioned when booking that it was my son's birthday and they had put a birthday card and sprinkles on the table which was a lovely touch. A great evening. 10/10

Main course of Turkey curry not as good as on our previous visit. Portion too large, not particularly tasty and rice not 'sticky' rice as advertised. Dessert, chocolate torte, excellent.
A bit surprised to see sitting area by fire occupied by mums with babies so only choice was to have drinks at dining table. But good for those with children!

Our first visit. Came with friends for supper. Three of us had fish and chips on special offer on Friday nights. The other person had a risotto. The food was excellent. Served quickly and piping hot. Highly recommended and we will be returning in the new year.

Food was up to it's usual excellent standard, service great. Unfortunately I was very cold, could do with some heating on. Also I expected to be able to have some Xmas Fare, being 19th Dec, but no, it had to be pre -ordered; this would have been fine if I'd been informed when booking the table. Perhaps next year ?
