Lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome. The old and new décor has been tastefully done and is interesting and relaxing. The dining area has been cleverly divided into sections making it intimate, yet open.
We didn't have to wait too long for our food and everything was excellently presented. We chose a 3 course meal and every course was delivered to the table with perfect timing. It was a first visit for us and we can't wait to return. The menu was interesting enough for us to want to sample more of this excellent food. Well done to the chef and front of house for a very enjoyable meal.

Food/Cocktail menu didn't correspond to the menu advertised on the Website, which was disappointing.
Had to approach the bar twice during our meal to purchase drinks, as the staff were to busy dealing with a big table, sat with starter plates for half an hour too.
On a plus side, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

On entering, the surroundings were lovely, quite modern. Staff were OK, one lady could have smiled a bit more !
My daughter found a small piece of plastic in her starter, which she returned to the bar, apologies from the staff, but no offer of anything else, ( if I was serving I'd perhaps just offer a free coffee, not much just a token ),

    On the whole delious food.

The food was very good but what was not very good was the time that it took to be delivered. The table was booked for 7.15 and we were shown to our table on time. There was only one front of house employee so the time before ordering was quite long. I had a first course but my wife only wanted a main course. On completion of my first course another long wait then ensued, The main course finally arrived at 8.45 that is one and a half hours after being shown to the table. Slow service spoilt the evening.

Excellent service. Loved the choice of starters, Sunday lunch was thoroughly enjoyed by three of my party, an alternative to the roast dinner was requested and the chef cooked a superb fish dish. Restaurant felt very spacious.although it was busy.

A comfortable restaurant with easy chairs and sofas for that pre-meal drink while you place your order. Good choice of reasonably priced dishes and the £10 2-course meal was very good value, with choices. We all had risotto, albeit two different recipes. A bit too much olive oil but very tasty. Chef's speciality dessert was fabulous - a cup and saucer made of biscuit tuille filled with dark chocolate mousse, topped with ice cream, and beautifully decorated. Very quiet on a weekday lunchtime which suited us as we could stay and chat without feeling we had to move on.
