Found within a funky refurbished café on the high road, Pho Chiswick is inspired by the national dish of Vietnam. Wicker lampshades, rustic brickwork and exposed piping evoke the feel of a traditional Hanoi noodle bar.

Vietnam’s national dish, pho noodle soups are undoubtedly a speciality. Elsewhere on the Pho menu, discover bun noodles with lemongrass and chilli, mildly spiced curries with fragrant rice, or the tiger prawn stir fry in a sweet ginger sauce. For a lighter bite, flavour-packed dishes include the spicy green mango salad topped with pork, dried shrimps and peanuts.

For dessert, savour the likes of decadent chocolate truffles, banana fritters, or rich ice creams and refreshing sorbets. Top off a meal at Pho in London with a Vietnamese beer, or choose from a number of quality wines chosen to match the food.

The food was not exceptional. When the restaurant first opened the tastes were fresh and very Vietnamese, now the taste was mediocre and my chicken in the Pho tasted as though it had been pre-cooked (re-heated). However my wife says the juices she drank were extremely good.

The food was delicious but sadly our trainee waitress came across as totally disinterested in us and she seemed most peculiar. When the food arrived, my order was wrong. It was almost like she was a bit high on something and it became a dominant negative throughout the meal. I found it hard to hear my friends as the restaurant was also very noisy possibly due to the acoustics. I mentioned my disappointment re the waitress to a superior as I left so I hope my comments were taken on board as I would like to recommend the restaurant but worry someone will have the same experience.

Great food, they just need to turn down their music ( volume) a little.

Waiting staff very polite. Not check back done. My friend got wrong dish. Replacement done quickly with apology but no new herbs served along. Had to ask.

Great night out with friends. Despite a large group all our meals came out together. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. We love Pho!

Fresh, tasty and authentic food with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The service was great and I enjoyed the spicy beef pho immensely and the crepe starter was almost a main meal itself! The perfect spot for catching up with friends.

Atmospheric restaurant with lovely staff who advise on dishes and how to mix the ingredients. Very good value for money. Wines were very reasonably priced although beer seemed to be the most popular accompaniment to the food. I was just disappointed I hadn't left enough room for dessert. Next time!
