Boasting outdoor seating with sea views, Pho Brighton serves traditional Vietnamese dishes from its central open kitchen.

Vietnam’s national dish, pho noodle soups are undoubtedly a speciality. Elsewhere on the Pho menu, discover bun noodles with lemongrass and chilli, mildly spiced curries with fragrant rice, or the tiger prawn stir fry in a sweet ginger sauce. For a lighter bite, flavour-packed dishes include the spicy green mango salad topped with pork, dried shrimps and peanuts.

For dessert, savour the likes of decadent chocolate truffles, banana fritters, or rich ice creams and refreshing sorbets. Top off a meal at Pho restaurant with a Vietnamese beer, or choose from a number of quality wines chosen to match the food.

A pebble’s throw from the beach, Pho Brighton is a 15-minute walk from Brighton Rail Station.

Wonderful. The online booking was easy and although I mentioned there would be a wheelchair and walker I did not expect it to be plain sailing but it was. The staff were really attentive and helpful, there was plenty of room for us and no fuss was made. The atmosphere was relaxed, exactly what was needed after my cousin had run the marathon and although there was music, we could hear each other talk, which is so important. None of the five of us had sampled Vietnamese food before and had no idea what to expect, again the staff were great and helped us to make choices. The food was well presented and delicious; you could taste the fresh ingredients that were expertly cooked with individual interesting flavours. I liked the chilli oil and garlic in a jar on the tables; I usually have to ask for chilli oil, so this is a plus. The drinks menu was unusual which made us try different things, so very good. My cousin loves his real beer so maybe some of those on the drinks menu would be good. Mum loves her Irish coffee so if there is a Vietnamese slant on this with a liqueur, it could be worth putting on the menu. Suitable for the disabled with a disabled toilet on the ground level and room to move. A very positive experience for us all.

Really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and the high tables were nice. To be honest I found the food quite bland. Not spicy enough for my tastes.

Gorgeous pork spring rolls for starter and I had king prawn pho for main. My boyfriend loved his strawberry sorbet and I enjoyed the fresh fruit juice

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed with the food here, as an Asian person who has traveled to Vietnam many times I am well aware of the different Asian cuisines and I did not feel like Pho touched down anywhere close to an authentic feel. It is too bad that the food here felt, kind of .. white-washed, if I may say so. It's too bad Asian cuisine cannot be properly represented in the UK. Hopefully this will be improved in the future.

I give your restaurant 9/10 . At first, I thought it was cooked in an European way but the food tasted exactly the same as what is like in Viet Nam. The only thing is that it's a bit salty. Definitely gonna come back
