The food and presentation was exquisite. Tasted as good as it looked! The fact that it was all gluten free was amazing. It's my little hidden gem.

We are very satisfied with the service from the restaurant and the sitting is very comfortable. The afternoon tea set provided is quite big and the drink is refillable.

First time dining at Petrichor. It was very quite on the Sunday evening. Chosen due to location. I am very neutral about my experience here. Restaurant had the look and feel of a hotel re the decor. Food was nicely presented - my starter of goat's cheese looked like a desert - and the sea bream had wonderfully crispy skin. Staff friendly and attentive.
I had the three course deal for £29 with glass of champagne, which was good value.
Nothing wrong in the slightest with the experience, just no wow factor with the food, or ambiance in the restaurant that says "I must do this again".

We loved our tea at the Preticor. The food was beautifully presented & tasty, and the staff was super friendly. It made was experience very special. They even brought out a beautiful plate with "Happy Mother's Day" on it!

Our second visit to Pentrichor for dinner and again not disappointed. Excellent service by friendly staff. Delicious and well presented food. A super dining experience.

Petrichor is a lovely restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff. the restaurant is located in a hotel and this can often deter people making a reservation; my comment is - if you want to eat in this part of town then go and see for yourself. You'll find a generous menu with a good choice of bread, an excellent range of options for your main course and some interesting pudds. I had the rice pudding and the flavours were unusual and very satisfying.
I'm giving the experience 5 stars based on my knowledge (and value for money) for similar restaurants in the surrounding area.
It was quiet when I visited but that suited me because I was meeting friends and we wanted to talk without shouting over crowds of people to be heard; indeed a friend said that the meal was one of the best she had eaten for a long time - how's that for a recommendation!

Everything was excellent. Service, food and ambiance first class

The service and the look and feel of the restaurant were ok, but the food was a bit of a disappointment. The appetizer (salmon roulade) was tasty, but the main course fish was swimming in oil/grease, to the point the potatoes were un-edible. My friend had the 'potato dumplings' that had not seen a dumpling. They were more like croquettes, and not good ones - bland and tasteless, and seemed to have been 're-heated' as the cheese on top of them wasn't properly melted. Ice cream that we had for dessert was also a disappointment.
