Have dined at the Petrichor a number of times and have never been disappointed. It's great to be able to choose from the A La Carte menu even when on the Star Deal. The selection of food was so good it was difficult to decide what to eat. Food and service were of a very high standard.

Great food and great setting - it wasn't very busy despite it being a Friday night, which was great for catching up without having to shout. Every course was fantastic and a brilliant star deal! The service was great as well - our group of 6 all arrived at different times but it wasn't a problem to sit in their lounge area to wait until everyone was here - slightly later than booked! Definitely one of the better hotel restaurants I've been to.

Apart from the chicken dish, the food was excellent.
Service was excellent - staff were courteous and attentive.
    We would certainly revisit.

We chose this resturant as we were meeting old friends and wanted to be able to catch up somewhere comfy and that was not too crowded.

Dinner was great, quite a choice, but the service was not the best: it took ages to get even sparkling water, let alone wine, though we had started with champagne outside the restaurant on sofas.

I enjoyed an asparagus starter, followed by salmon - perfect quantities, but the portion of rhubarb creme brulee was rather disappointingly small.

All in all the evening was great. The basic offer price was good, but as I didn't pay the bill I don't know how much the wines pushed things up!

Our first visit to Petrichor was outstanding. The food was as excellent as the menu suggested - with good sized portions, creative and mouth watering food and accompanied by incomparable service. The Bookatable deal of 3 courses from the a la carte menu with a glass of Lanson champagne for £29 was amazing value for money. There was a good wine list with plenty of choice at reasonable prices. We will definitely be eating at Petrichor again - in fact, we're looking forward to it already.
