Not the widest selection of menus especially if you are vegetarian but a well executed main nonetheless. Service was a little on the slow side.Food exceptional and a really good ambience.A little expensive but you do get what you pay for.Would definitely go back.Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed everything about Petersham Nurseries cafe. The service was very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent, and we are very fussy customers so bravo. I would definitely go back. It is a bit pricey, but with all things considered, well worth the money. Looking forward to going back.

One of our best lunches yet at this delightful restaurant. The food and surroundings really are outstanding. The service can be variable which also surprises. The maitre d tried to put us on a large shared table when there were several other tables for 2 available. A minute or two spent talking to us at the start rather than a very perfunctory request as to what we wanted to drink would pay real dividends. A wait to order whilst staff did their best not to acknowledge we were looking for attention. When we were served by a charming young Scottish waiter everything changed - in a good way. Been coming here for special occasions for 10 years and really do love it but the approach to service needs a fundamental rethink to take it to the next level.

We had a little difficulty finding the entrance to the nursery, it was not well signposted, and although parking was OK for us, we arrived early, it may be difficult at peak times.
We particularly enjoyed the environment and location of the nursery and restaurant, and started with coffee and cake in the glasshouse cafe, then a couple of hours looking at the nursery and linked shopping area, then to lunch in the restaurant. Service was excellent and the selection of wines and food suited our tastes very well.
We spent an enjoyable five or six hours at the nursery and our best recommendation is that we will return in the near future.

a one off wonderful venue. One waiter culd not speak much english .... Delicious food, looked so beautiful too. Non of us thought olive oil tasted good or texture right drizzled on pudding, spoilt it. Will go back for sure

It's quite posh. There was no real simple lunch/cafe food on the menu so somewhat overpriced in my opinion. The food was good but not great. I had the speck and salad as a main course - they offered to serve it as a main course instead of a started - glad I did as the main course was pretty small too! Lovely location, special place.
