Absolutely fantastic. Really good service and didn't have to wait too long. We had a variety of dishes all of which were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent lunch. We have visited 'The Peli' many times usually for lunch. Food has always been excellent. On this visit we both had the same Wiltshire pigeon to start, followed by the special fish of the day Hake which was extremely good, one of us had sticky toffee pudding to follow. Excellent meal.

Food was good and we didn't have to wait long. However we ordered desert and coffee. The coffees came out quite promptly but we had to wait over 30 minutes for the desert. This is the second time that this has happened at the pelican. I asked twice for our deserts and on both times we were assured it was on the way. It's a shame because it affected the over all enjoyment of the meal.

I rebooked after having a superb Christmas lunch with a group of friends. Sadly my return visit wasn't so good. The Christmas menu is only for pre booked "parties" so wasn't available for 4 people which was such a dissapointment as I had persuaded my friends that the 90 min round trip to get to the Pelly would be worth it. There was no Christmassy food at all available from the standard bar menu or on the specials board. 2 of us chose beef, one slice was delicious and tender the other was fatty and tough in parts. Veg and sauce was delicious though. there is no separation between the drinkers and those dining so it was extremely noisy but the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

The service was very good, lovely pub and atmosphere, the food was very nice, I had the roast chicken with mushrooms, very nice but portion size was small, could do with some vegetables to accompany it.

Very good food and generous portions. Service excellent and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere.

Small personal dislike, the coffee was too strong.

Good food, Enjoyable lunch. Slight delay on dessert, but really helpful staff put it right very quickly. Problem with roadworks in Chew Magna diversion caused delay getting there, maybe put a note on the website (?) because I checked the website for directions that day before setting off.
