The food is beautifully presented and tasty, but the pancakes accompanying the duck were cold. The main disappointment was how little the staff seemed to care, initially I thought it was due to the restaurant being busy, but when it quietened down the service was still far from perfect and the staff perfunctory.

Quality of venue - nice interior
Quality of service - average to below average, indifferent on occasions
Quality of food - well presented, as expected for the area
Cost - a touch expensive considering the afore mentioned.

Overall a good meal and a pleasant evening; the steamed sea bass with. ginger and spring onion was beautifully cooked, though could have used more of the ginger and onion. Silken Tofu with minced pork was delicious; been in. lack bean and chilli tasty though beef a little tough. Rice was bland and could have been fluffier and tastier; unusually for good Chinese restaurants, service was pleasantly and staff smiling and helpful

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Service was friendly and efficient but sometimes it was quite difficult to attract a waiter's attention.

Unlike other Chinese restaurants at Chinatown and Queensway/Bayswater, Pearl Liang was spacious. The best dish was the Lobster Noodles and I only wished they had given more noodles. Felt a bit too little. We also had the wasabi prawns, kai lan and fried tofu with brown sauce. It was all very good.

Food was pretty good, but annoyed by the fact for how much they were charging for rice.

Made a reservation for 2 at 7.30pm on a Friday evening. Arrived earlier at 7.10pm, and was brought to our seats. One of the chairs had some food bits on it; small issue, we settled it by ourselves. Placed our order - lobster stir fried with ginger and onion. I did not know it came with two portions of noodles, so, I placed an additional order for a bowl of egg fried rice. Upon learning that it (the lobster dish) comes with two servings of noodles, I requested to cancel the bowl of egg fried rice (pls note: order has not been keyed into the system). Server (Chinese lady) gave us attitude and insisted that the noodles will not be sufficient for two (despite telling us we will be served two portion) - it was quite an ugly sight.

Food was average, lobster dish was too salty. Ordered Tau Miao (pea shoots) and a stir fried beef - average as well. Must say their duck was really good though. You can improve a lot more on the service, Pearl Liang.
