The location and service is nice but I would not recommend the "Bird Case" as the sandwiches are not tasty (maybe this is the way the sandwiches should taste but they did not give me an ooooh and aaaah experiences what so ever, left most uneaten...) . Scones and cakes were nice, but not worth the price in my opinion.

I'd been before many years ago so booked it for that reason. They'd refurbished the restaurant area and although it's a great setting I preferred the old layout as it was more intimate and you could appreciate the art deco feel much more. Loved the harp and the atmosphere that created. Service was ok but last time it was much more quietly attentive...we had to ask for more tea whereas last time the staff knew the moment we finished the tea from a distance. Staff were friendly though. I'd recommend getting a voucher for the discount...I didn't and I would not go again if I had to pay full price.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. This was one of the highlights of our trip to London, and a special time we will not forget.

The service was faultless, especially as we arrived dripping wet and our soggy coats, packages and umbrellas were taken from us and dried while we ate. The food (high tea) was delicious and beautifully presented and the setting was delightful. took 40 minutes from ordering for our hot dishes to arrive - basically grilled cheese, an omlette and poached egg with asparagas. I could have cooked it ten times in 40 minutes! We were served lots of tea while we waited, and the waiter did apologise, but by the time it arrived we were awash with tea and feeling a little jaded.

Overall, it was a lovely experience but I will be sure to allow plenty of time if I ever decide to go again.

(There was a birthday party going on in an adjacent room - did the kitchen give that priority I wonder?)

We were a party of four and had a wonderful time at the Palm Court, Sheraton Park Lane. The staff were excellent and to be treated to an additional 'round' of champagne was exceptional. The music provided by the Harpist helped create a truly marvellous atmosphere. We can't wait to find a suitable excuse to make a return visit.

Lovely quiet setting the harpist was very good. The service was quite slow and clunky, you had no dedicated server so often spent more than five minutes waving at various staff to get their attention. The food looked amazing and the bread felt fresh. The flavours of the sandwiches however were not great. The cakes looked nice again but the flavourings were not great. We were advised we could ask for more of anything but as stated above trying to gain somebodies attention to get this if you wanted to was an issue. The water for the tea was not boiling meaning you were drinking luke warm tea. The scones were cold a big no no for me. Overall I felt this did not represent value for money in comparison to other London Afternoon Teas I have attended.

We had afternoon tea and everything about the experience was amazing! The food, hotel, atmosphere contributed to a lovely afternoon. The lady playing the harp was an absolute bonus and gave an extra dimension to the experience. Will definitely be returning! I can only recommend for afternoon tea as that is all I have had but I will be trying lunch and dinner sometime soon...!

Lovely Art Deco room, with harpist. Waiting staff friendly and attentive. Food and tea was delicious.

Scones excellent, sandwiches good selection and flavours, cakes decorative but some very sweet lacking flavour, coffee good (first cup served too cool) and standard tea very poor - this may be to ensure that promoted speciality teas are chosen more often
