We both loved the starter of smoked salmon and we both loved our deserts (chocolate and rhubarb).. beef was overdone and green noodles underseasoned. Risotto bit too cheesy.

The ambience of the palm court was everything expected. The band were fantastic.
We selected the lobster ravioli, this was exquisite. The beef was selected for our main this was to die for. As for the dessert when I booked the creme brûlée was on the menu but unfortunately the menu had changed, no apology was offered. Whilst we were eating our main course they brought out a cake for my husbands birthday. We ordered the apple and almond tart, this wasn't so great, the tart didn't live up to my expectations. Also the plate which the dessert was served on smelt of eggs, not something I expect from a 5star restaurant. The waiter dealt with my complaint in an orderly fashion on our bill our tea and coffee were taken off the bill.

Average food and very small table for 5 people. Charming waiters.

Booked Palm Court because we could not get into Roux at the Landau. Very pleasant room but not a dining room as such - probably better for afternoon tea. Supposedly some connection with Roux. Set Menu with the now obligatory glass of prosecco but no other option (within menu) if you find prosecco too sweet. As starters (1) 1 small lobster ravioli in broth (2) Duck with goats cheese - both perfectly acceptable. Mains - Both had sea bream with celeriac puree which was nicely cooked. Desert. Disappointing apple pie especially pastry. Probably bought in. Either way Michel should try it sometime. Service up to that point fine. After that point poor. Not offered tea coffee or digestif. Took ages to try and attract attention to get bill. When we spoke to staff and asked for bill, waited another 15 minutes. Almost went to get coats in order to prompt interest in providing bill. Went for dinner but left recommending the afternoon tea.

Always have to remind restaurants that I am Bookatable when the menu comes. Only place was Bulgari hotel that knew immediately.
Bill charged 2 pounds more than Bookatable menu, certainly no biggie when one can afford to go out often, but was the principle. They gladly changed it.
Food was average. Was asked about it and my husband said he enjoyed it and I was silent. The head waiter wanted to know about me and I said it was hard for me to answer, but he persisted. He offered me a glass of champagne as he was serious about making me happy.
Service was refined , but I just didn't think the food was equal to the Stars given.
