Very relaxing, with excellent service. Choice of sandwiches excellent, as 1 was vegetarian. The patisserie was beautifully presented and delicious!!

It was fabulous. Excellent food and service; a calm relaxing setting, with a harpist playing gently in the background; a perfect way to spend the afternoon.

We had a lovely afternoon tea here, celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday.. the staff made it special by adding a candle to a cake and playing happy birthday. beautiful place, live harp music. The icing on the cake was being taken by Lily the lovely Portugese waitress to see the outside of the JK Rowling Suite. Thanks Lily!

My high tea at the Balmoral was a lovely introduction to Edinburgh. The tea started with a amuse bouche soup. Lovely sandwiches, scones and sweets. I love the fact that you can change teas! Terrific, attentive staff.
