Perched high on the 8th floor of OXO Tower on London’s South Bank, OXO Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its 250-foot terrace and dining area. The informal setting has an infectious buzz, with live music from an extensive line-up of jazz musicians adding an extra dimension to the experience.

With a state-of-the-art open-plan kitchen, head chef Keir Barry serves up modern British dishes with bold flavours. Enjoy grilled spring chicken served with pepper gorgonzola butter, or roasted cod with caramelised onion chorizo chutney and padron pepper butter beans. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the josper grill, creating a rich BBQ flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining.

An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and unique to the Brasserie, ‘Not Afternoon Tea’ is a must-try experience for those who enjoy a sweet treat with a difference. A selection of exotic desserts includes apricot frangipane, thyme pannacotta, and green tea cake.

Offering incredible views, and live music every evening and on weekend lunchtimes, OXO Tower Brasserie in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark Tube Station.

My friend & I dined at The Oxo Tower Brasserie last week for the first time. We had the set lunch menu for £29.50 which was very good value. The service, food & ambience where all perfect & we were even lucky enough to have a table by the window. We will definitely return.

I always like coming here - it's a relaxed atmosphere with good quality food, prompt and attentive service, and worth every penny. The chairs could do with a bit more padding though!

Service was a little slow to begin and had to wait ages to order drinks and ages after that to receive them. They were very busy and service improved as the evening went on. Buzzy atmosphere. Excellent food and great evening out.

Great location with a special view. Nice, bustling atmosphere and attentive service. We booked the table for 6pm and had a 2 hour slot which worked fine (make sure you sit close to the window that faces the river). We had a three course a la carte meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with squid and soft shell crab. High quality ingredients well prepared with some creative twists. The chorizo sauce did amazing things with the squid. The soft shell crab was also very nice. We continued with seared tuna with chili caramel sauce and had some chips on the side. Again, great ingredients and creative presentation, without any pretentious feeling. We finished with a cheese plate with very good British and Irish cheeses. No overly creative presentation there but great taste. We especially loved the Devon Blue and promptly got a second helping. If you are a wine lover like me do ask for the 'Big Wine List'. It comes from the more formal restaurant and contains several gems in various price brackets. We had a Blaufraenkisch by Moric (great Austrian grape from a delightful producer) which worked well with the tuna due to its fruitiness. For the cheese we went for a Banyuls which (slightly chilled) was a good combination as well as a treat. All in all a very good dinner indeed. Not exactly cheap but watching the sunset over Westminster with the final rays on St Pauls while sipping a nice Banyuls is probably priceless anyhow. Thanks to the team for a good evening out.

Very lively atmosphere, music and lots of people because it was a Saturday, great views of the Thames and competent and attentive staff. We were a party of six people and there was something on the menu for everyone, even the vegetarian, don't give five stars because it was a little noisy, but would recommend especially to younger people.

Food was good, service great. Only negative was the terrible ' 'jazz' duo covering every cheesy tune possible.
