The food was brilliantly and plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming on arrival. My friend and I had such a lovely time that we have booked to meet up and eat just prior to Christmas.

We had Pink afternoon tea at Oscars Braisserie. First of all, we had reserved the Pink afternoon tea, but the waitress serving us was not informed (it was not a big deal, she just asked us, but why not to check our booking and give us the feeling, that we were expected?)

Secondly, the quality of the food was not very high. In the sandwiches there was used margarine, which ruined the taste of them. The strawberry dessert was not prepared with whipped cream, but some sort of white vegetable fat cream (I suppose), and the "strawberry" sauce in the dessert was very "chemical". The scones were not very fluffy and not warm and the cake selection was not very versatile. Not because there was not enough cake, it was just not very imaginative and it was heavy to eat (I missed some fruits). Also, it's always better, if the cakes are baked with butter.

Thirdly, there stands on your homepage, that you have a wide variety of teas. We were first offered a pot of tea, without asking, which kind of tea we would like. When we asked for different varieties, we received a Twinings tea box (when the waitress finally found it), where we could choose by ourselves and prepare our own tea. This is not, what I expect from a 18 punds afternoon tea. It would have given a nicetouch to serve loose leaf tea and have a tea menu-card and NOT to ask us to prepare our own tea.

Lastly, I was dissapointed by the standard of the dining room. There was a light pulb, which didn't work, a lot of dust and the mirrors in the end of the room were dirty. Furthermore, a big table right next to us had not been cleaned after guests. We sat there for 1,5h and nobody cleaned the table - a dirty table is not a kind of thing you want to sit and watch, when you have your afternoon tea.

As always, the six of us had a really good meal with you lunchtime on the 1st of October. We had a little bit of a wait after we asked for some more desserts to come out to replace the ones which had gone, but when they did they were lovely. The table service, the value for money and the whole ambience was really good, and we will be definitely be coming again for Saturday lunch.

Welcome and service good. Quality of food good but too many spicy dishes. Had to opt for carvery. Starters and deserts good. Dining room not busy but seated between two other occupied tables. Would have been nice to have more privacy to talk without being overheard. Pleasant evening until towards the end when objectionable woman started arguing, shouting and swearing at waiter and restaurant manager. Spoils our evening and embarrassing as I had an elderly friend with me who is not used to bad language.

Loved the range of starters as always. Vegetarians in our party were pleased with the choice on offer and especially enjoyed the vegetable casserole. Staff provided information about the food to a coeliac in our group and brought him his own gluten free gravy. There was an excellent choice of meat and vegetables which were fresh and not over cooked. Couldn't fault our dining experience, the food was delicious.
