Nestled in a converted orchid warehouse, Orso – Covent Garden presents a chic, bistro-style retreat. With sleek wood furnishings and pale terracotta walls, the dining room evokes the charm of 1950s Milan.

With a long established reputation for superb Italian cuisine in Covent Garden, the Orso menu offers lovingly-crafted, traditional cuisine, whilst incorporating an exciting twist. Quality, regionally-sourced ingredients are used to create tempting dishes, like roast Tuscan sausage with braised black cabbage, or fresh penne pasta with wilted spinach and gorgonzola.

Within a vibrant area of London, Orso restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere which is perfect for a leisurely meal, and diners can unwind with a glass from the fine range of well-balanced wines. To round things off, the dessert menu is filled with indulgent delights, like flourless chocolate cake with mascarpone, or pear and caramel tart.

In a quaint setting, Orso Covent Garden is just 6 minutes’ walk from Covent Garden Tube Station, and 2 minutes from the Lyceum Theatre.

Excellent service even though the restaurant was very busy. Food was good too.

Lovely food, attractive surroundings and good atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were all really friendly and couldn't fault the service. The only very minor comment I have is related to the feeling of being "processed". We were contacted 2 days prior to arriving to confirm our booking and asked if we were theatre goers, we said no we weren't. When we arrived at 6pm as booked we were asked again and we said no again. The food came very quickly which isn't a criticism just an observation as we we're not in any rush, it just seemed wrong that we had been asked twice and yet the service pace wasn't altered to reflect that. Only a minor point really but overall good place we enjoyed it.

The food was fine but the service was really not good. Our waiter should not be in the service industry- everything was a 'no' to each simple request.

We dined here by chance in March this year and didn't hesitate to book again for a large group in December. Fabulous service, quick and friendly. Great choice of menu and suited our family of all ages brilliantly (from 6 to 75!). A lovely, relaxed dining experience and we would definitely recommend it !

Yes, it was a very pleasant evening: the atmosphere was convivial and the food (we had a fixed menu) was simple and tasty! Overall the it was exceptionally good value for a night out in Covent Garden.
