I ate at Aubaine, I had the set menu, the waiters were obliging when I asked to change a couple of things , overall good but they were charming but a bit slow at times although the food came quickly when ordered.

A stunning dining room in a Grade II-listed building in Kensington, One Kensington offers elegant British fine dining. Part of the Tamarind restaurant fleet of Michelin-starred pedigree, One Kensington infuses Mediterranean flavours into its exquisite British cuisine.

A loin of venison with salsify and pistachio is among delicate starters on the One Kensington menu, and can be followed by Mediterranean salt crusted sea bass with vegetable ratatouille, or Scottish lamb rump with taggiasca black olive and caponata. Desserts are a regal selection ranging from tart au citron to Sicilian cannoli, while the cheese board is accompanied by velvety compote and fruit bread.

Distinctive aqua blues, high-vaulted ceilings and ornately carved stone archways characterise the elegant interior at the One Kensington restaurant. The wine list features exquisite champagne picks and a range of sophisticated, delicately-balanced cocktails.

Evoking a trendy members’ club ambience, One Kensington overlooks the Kensington Palace Gardens, and is a 5-minute walk from High Street Kensington Tube Station.

Large elegant banking hall which lacks atmosphere. The wine is very overpriced. Service was insensitive and obtrusive.
