Inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, One Aldwych have created a unique afternoon tea. From decadent golden eggs to blueberry brioche and playful flavoured candy floss, every item reflects the wit and wonder of Roald Dahl's classic tale.

Executive Chef Dominic Teague and his team have created a scrumdiddlyumptious menu using the finest, freshest ingredients. Teatime treats are served alongside a selection of award-winning loose leaf teas and infusions from Canton Tea, each of which has been chosen to complement the delicate flavours from the kitchen.

Originally built in 1907 as the home of the Morning Post newspaper, One Aldwych occupies one of the most important Edwardian buildings in London, offering beautiful rooms, serious cocktails, delicious food and a brilliant buzz.

One Aldwych is an award-winning contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of London, just a 4-minute walk away from Covent Garden Tube Station.

A wonderful afternoon tea, fantastic service, delicious and imaginative food, fabulous champagne and a lake of tea. The ambience is relaxed, airy and modern with great people watching. Perfect treat to relax and while away a few hours.
When we couldn't finish the puds, the staff boxed them up beautifully to take home for the kids!

Very poor for the money it was, and a weird combination of savoury food,

Weekend away in London.Great demand at One Aldwych for afternoon tea. We tried to book last year for our preferred date in November. Learnt our lesson and booked 7 months in advance this year. Well worth the wait. Wonderful ambiance and seating arrangement were perfect - you have a two hour slot for your afternoon tea and it's lovely not to be overpowered by others' conversations.
Presentation was beautiful and the feast of goodies places in front of us were mouthwatering. I'd recommend you peruse the menu carefully as everything listed is included. ( we had an extra selection of sandwiches / savories at no extra cost)
    A memorable experience.

Indigo restaurant - Charlie and the chocolate themed afternoon tea ..... Genius idea. There was nothing I could fault. The attention to detail was amazing and the surprise candifloss flavour was unexpected. The best thing was the golden egg but it was superb. The ambiance was just right and the service was really good. Would definitely highly recommend a visit

I can't fault my afternoon, I had the standard version and it was excellent. I booked it as a treat for my sister's birthday who is gluten free, as we had been told they did an excellent gluten free version. It was ok but the savoury options were disappointing, no pastries or bread variety, just a sandwich cut into fingers. The cakes were much better - my sister got to eat most things. The GF scone was awlful rock hard! It's not hard to make a GF scone but you can't just sub GF flour in a recipe, you must adapt.

We had a nice time but found the service a bit slow and ambience lacking. It was also far too hot on the mezzanine.
