Inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, One Aldwych have created a unique afternoon tea. From decadent golden eggs to blueberry brioche and playful flavoured candy floss, every item reflects the wit and wonder of Roald Dahl's classic tale.

Executive Chef Dominic Teague and his team have created a scrumdiddlyumptious One Aldwych afternoon tea menu using the finest, freshest ingredients. Teatime treats are served alongside a selection of award-winning loose leaf teas and infusions from Canton Tea, each of which has been chosen to complement the delicate flavours from the kitchen.

Originally built in 1907 as the home of the Morning Post newspaper, One Aldwych occupies one of the most important Edwardian buildings in London, offering beautiful rooms, serious cocktails, delicious food and a brilliant buzz.

One Aldwych is an award-winning contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of London, just a 4-minute walk away from Covent Garden Tube Station.

We have been to may hotels for Afternoon Tea, but this is one of the best, beating The Lanesborough, The Goring and The Savoy.
Each mouthful was beautiful. The sandwiches, the cakes, the scones, the tea and the Champagne were magnificent and the service was exceptional. It atmosphere and decor made it very comfortable, we could have stayed there all day! I cannot rate this experience highly enough, we will definitely be back and will be recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Me and my friend had a fantastic afternoon tea, we loved all of it. The vegetable Wellington was lovely as were the mini quiche. The desserts were amazing, especially the candy floss which was not original flavour but we did guess what it was, but don't wish to spoil for any one else. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would defiantly recommend this to family and friends, I'd say children from the age of 10 would love it

Unfortunately the quality of the food was poor. The scones were not fresh and not even heated.

The staff were absolutely delightful, very friendly and welcoming. I loved the drawings on the menus a really nice touch.
It was a themed afternoon tea and I liked the idea of the chocolate tea which was indeed very nice but the choice of teas offered was very limited.
For the price we paid the afternoon tea food selection was mediocre.
The golden egg and the chocolate drink were our favourites in line with the theme.
I'm sure we could have asked for more but there was not enough cream or jam for the scones.
The ambience was nice and there were comfy seats available unfortunately we had a normal table and chairs. I like a more casual relaxed seating.
Having experienced a fair few afternoon teas and although Afternoon Tea at One Aldwych was lovely and we enjoyed it I would not be recommending or taking anyone else there.

Staff were attentive and everyone I took enjoyed the food. It was mainly a treat for my 10 year old daughter and she was thrilled with the choice of plain sandwiches and hot chocolate as an alternative to the adults choice
