The meal we had was excellent. Full of flavour. The portions are quite large! The service was quick and the staff are very friendly. This is the second time we have been and we will definitely go again.

The first Olivo to be opened back in November 1997, Olivo - Guildford is set in a building believed to be a late Elizabethan timber-framed house, dating back to the early 1660s. The current Restaurant Manager is Mr. Paolo Ditale, whose passion for food, service and detail has inspired an amazing menu and a superb style of service. Olivo's cuisine is based on three basic principles: Traditional Italian methods, modern interpretation and the use of quality raw ingredients. It is traditional Italian because the staff do not compromise on the basic principles, and yet it is modern because these classic recipes are revisited, interpreted and adapted by the creativity of the kitchen team. They have also carefully selected the wines in the cellar to provide you with a wide range from all over Italy.

Excellent meal with delicious food and drink. It is lovely to find a restaurant that we can visit after the theatre.

I have eaten here many times with friends and family as it is our favourite Italian restaurant in Guildford. As usual, the ambience was lovely (despite being a tiny bit too close to the table next to us), food was fantastic and the staff were friendly, attentive and professional. We simply needed a light lunch and found the lunch set menu excellent both in terms of the food on offer and the value. The dessert (We had Tortino and Tiramisu) were fantastic. I am looking forward to my next visit.
    Thank you!

Wonderful food with very generous portions from the set menu, it was difficult to choose what to have! Attentive and friendly service, all set in a beautiful building - what more could anyone ask for?

As usual up to good standard. Service was friendly and efficient and food was excellent. My wife enjoyed the Risotto Della Casa and I think you should make the Tuna dish one of your signatures. I enjoyed my Pollo Milanese - all washed down with a decent bottle of Montepulciano.
Ideal for meal before or after the Theatre - or any other time of course.
