Boasting an AA Rosette to its name, Olives Restaurant and Bar offers authentic Italian food. Head chef, Davide Di Croce serves up stunning dishes in the bright dining room, while the bar brings a selection of indulgent cocktails.

While options range from risottos to salads, staple favourites at Olives restaurant remain the same, with tomato coulis spooned on top of a grilled sea bass fillet with a fennel, orange and artichoke salad. Creative options include the roasted pigeon breast with a lentil and pancetta mixture, doused in a Marsala jus. Sensational desserts on the Olives menu showcase originality; hazelnut parfait is served with crushed caramelised nuts and mixed berry compote.

Casual elegance oozes from every detail at Olives Bar and Restaurant in London. Dine on an ‘Italian twist’ afternoon tea amongst deep red curtains, elaborate lightshades and sweetly-potted plants on tables.

Olives in South Kensington is less than a 1-minute walk from Gloucester Road Tube Station.

Very friendly hospitable restaurant. Food was delicious and as able to use my Taste card was very reasonably priced. Will visit again if in the area.

Lovely staff, very nice atmosphere, great food!

Worth a visit and certainly on a Tastecard 50% off deal, though we would not go back at full fare. Dishes were unique but not particularly well prepared. And service was schizophrenic, either overdone or inattentive. Nice, but nothing special.

Mediocre - service OK, food nothing to write home about, infact the lasagne looked (and apparently tasted) like a pre prepared readymeal. Expensive for what it was. Would not recommend, nor return.

I had dinner at 9.30. Service was very good, food was ok, but not great. I found it a little expensive for the type of food.

We dined early evening, and the ambiance was lovely, the staff were friendly and hospitable. Food was absolutely delicious, and the main menu was varied enough to cater for all tastes. The set menu choices were...well, how do you put it, other than completely uninspiring......shame really.....probably a trick missed there. Happy hour made the more than decent house wine, worth every penny. I would certainly recommend a long as you are not looking for 'set menu' value.
