Food was top quality and sitting outside looking onto the river was most enjoyable. I will definitely return.

Voted as Fluid London’s top spot for al fresco dining in London, Old Ship W6 is an historic pub and restaurant in Hammersmith’s lively Upper Mall. A riverside servant to thirsty wayfarers since 1722, it boasts beautiful river views and a charming wooden terrace.

Tasty treats on the Old Ship menu range from award-winning bangers and mash to linguini putanesca and Cornish mackerel with vibrant salsa verde. A sumptuous 21-day aged riverside cote de boeuf with chunky chips and béarnaise sauce can follow Sipsmith gin and juniper-marinated gravlax, while warm chocolate brownie with peanut butter ice cream is an enticing finale.

The stunning riverside location of the Old Ship W6 pub in London is vindicated by a comprehensive selection of drinks to enjoy on the expansive terrace. Award-winning draught beers are joined by a global pick of wines, which on Sundays can be matched with an indulgent three course roast dinner menu.

A beautiful vintage pub in Hammersmith, Old Ship W6 is a 15-minute walk from the Hammersmith Apollo. The nearest station is Ravenscourt Park Tube Station.

What a lovely evening .. We had a very helpful tall young Australian man , I think he was called "Oliver " He was a star ! It was busy but nothing was too much trouble and he kept a smile and was always polite
A young woman brought water for the dog , The food was excellent and the side salad Very special ! I live minutes away and usually go to "The Dove " and The blue Anchor ... But they were booked up ... I am glad they were because I discovered how good it is here ... Many Thanks ...

Staff, initially very friendly and accommodating, however when they suggested that we could sit outside for our dessert course things started to go awry!
We (3 of us) tried to order our dessert and were told that the order could not be taken outside and we would have to go to the bar/counter, when I advised that it was at their suggestion that we finish our meals outside the waitress (who had just delivered another table's main course) said we could not do it. We then asked another member of staff who said that they would go and see (see what?) finally after about 30 minutes of trying to order another member of staff came out to serve another customer their food, and I asked whether there was any chance of getting a dessert. She seemed to be nonplussed by this with an 'of course you can why ask such a question' expression, at this point the 2 other members of staff gathered around the table. there was a heated discussion amongst them which eventually ended up with us getting served.
Once we had finished our meal I asked for the bill to be told that I had to go inside and queue at the bar to settle my bill despite other customers having a mobile card reader presented to them at their table!

If, one can ignore this small issue, I would recommend the food and service.
One of my dining companions liked it so much they enquired about hiring the upstairs function room for a party!

Lovely pub, with a beach feel and great atmosphere in & outdoors. Bar staff were great.... Not to mention - Amazing Aperol spritz and delish Roast!

Toilets could do with a bit of an uplift.

I've been to this restaurant twice. Both times the food had run out and that was very dissapointing. The second time I could choose something from the brunch-menu though, even if I wanted what was on the main. Hard to get in touch with a waitress. My friend had her birthday this evening but you were unable to do something little extra, so I won't recommend it to anyone for their birthday. Very nice view outside though.
