It was a very friendly pub. We were made to feel welcome. The food was wonderfull and the fudge that came with the coffee was mouth watering.

Believed to be one of England's oldest inns, The Old Ferry Boat St Ives serves fine British fare, cask ales and wines among others. Located on the banks of River Great Ouse, diners can enjoy a relaxing culinary experience in the charming interior or head outside to the spacious garden.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Old Ferry Boat menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at Old Ferry Boat pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

The Old Ferry Boat brings tasty British cuisine to diners in the hamlet of Holywell. St Ives Golf Club is a 10-minute drive away.

Food was of good quality, staff service was lacking, all staff were grumpy & not welcoming, had argument over food order, were told originally that the whole table would need to pay in one total bill, managed to get separate bills after discussion with young female staff member.

We have dined here on many occasions and always been reasonably happy with out meals. When your opting for the cheaper option you don't expect 5* food , its a small value meal which is great when your not not really hungry and prefer smaller portions. Unfortunately on this occasion my fish and chip meal was quite unpleasant, the chips were lovely, peas are peas but the battered fish was severely overcooked and I couldn't taste the fish. Another one of our parties meal wasn't the best but I was offered a free desert as a good will gesture. It hasn't put us off from going back to the Ferry Boat and assume the chef was just having an 'off' day.

A lovely old, historic pub in a great setting by the river Ouse; the bar service was efficient and quick and the food was produced promptly and served with a friendly approach. The salad nicoise with grilled haloumi made for a perfect light lunch.

They had no record of the booking so kindly put us in the function room.

Do not book on trip advisor, apparently they don't pass the bookings on!l

Everything was really good. Steak was over done to the way I liked it but I still enjoyed it
