Well cared for by attentive maitre d' and serving staff. Polite and helpful people, advised us on choices. Glass of prosecco generous, good choice on menu and food well cooked and presented without undue waiting on lovely white china.

Close to the ancient London Wall itself, Off The Wall Bar & Restaurant in London is a modern venue in the historic city. With floor-to-ceiling windows and sleek cocktail bar, its enticing menu of contemporary European cuisine can be enjoyed inside, or you can dine al fresco and take in the buzz of this vibrant part of town.

With Italian, French and British cuisine among its influences, the Off The Wall menu tantalises from the beginning. Buffalo mozarella fig salad, served with aged balsamic vinegar, and Smoked duck breast, fennel & orange salad are among succulent starters served in Off The Wall’s dining room, coolly styled with natural stone and marble.

Classic European mains of butternut squash risotto, Scottish sirloin steak and grilled Dover sole are hearty, fresh staples found at Off The Wall near Liverpool Street. A range of candied dessert wines add a continental accompaniment to ever-tempting lemon & jasmine tea posset, or millefeuille with roasted figs & cinnamon ice cream.

Countless cocktails and Off The Wall’s signature punch head the drinks list, each with a story of its own. A relaxing haven in the City’s heart, Off The Wall Bar & Restaurant at the Apex London Wall Hotel is less than 5 minutes’ walk from Bank or Moorgate Tube Station.

Great value on the London Restaurant Festival set menu. The sea bass was very good, although a bit small in size and the chocolcate and hazelnut semifreddo was very nice.

Food good but not great. Service was excellent.

The restaurant is a bit hidden, you wouldn't find it if you didn't know it was there. The decoration is very much what you would expect in this kind of hotel, upmarket but rather impersonal. The food was really nice except for the friend who ordered a steak: she asked for medium rare but it was rather well done, and the quality of the meat was not astounding either. The other three of us enjoyed our main course, whether it was fish or meat, and all of us loved our varied starters. The deserts were delicious and the service very attentive. Good value for money with the Star Deal.

We ate Sunday lunch here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and the place was empty from start to finish - which was great from a service point of view and felt rather like we had booked out the whole place. On the downside, though, there wasn't much atmosphere. Having said that it wasn't something we were too bothered about. On the whole we enjoyed the food, although it was a tad over-seasoned, which along with the prosecco left me with a bit of headache all afternoon. However, the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. When I wasn't sure about my desert - which turned out to be frozen mousse (the frozen part not being mentioned on the menu), the maitre d' offered to change it, without me really complaining all that much, which was nice of her. On the whole a good experience.

Very welcoming, good value and excellent service. Quiet on a Saturday evening as it is in the City.

We took our daughter for a dinner to celebrate her birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They made us very welcome, and the service throughout the evening was lovely. We enjoyed the food, a set menu which is great value for money. We also had other drinks, and all the dishes we had were very tasty. Would definitely like to go again, and perhaps try lunch, and drinks.
