We were seated upstairs which is light and airy has more of a restaurant feel compared to the downstairs which is the bar area. We were able to take our dog along which is always a nice bonus, the staff were lovely and very attentive the food was very good quality we had the steak and kidney pudding which was so big unfortunately I had no room for dessert which also looked gorgeous! Very good value for money overall lovely experience

Lovely old beamed restaurant. Friendly staff. The best Sunday lunch out that we have had locally. The roast beef was the best ever and I am told the lamb was also good. Two had starters and said they were excellant and the rhubard crumble was superb.. We shall certainly go again.

It was wonderful! Oddfellows Mellor had been recommended to us by someone at work so we had to try it! We booked in for 5 pm on Sunday 2nd April, the very last slot for lunch so that we could go on one of the walks (which was just lovely!) so when we got back we were ready for our food! The food was excellent as was the service. Two young girls served us and they were so polite, quick and efficient! Nothing was too much trouble for them (I don't know their names otherwise I would refer to them by name!) They really worked hard as there were a lot of people in the restaurant. We both had the roast beef lunch and it was beautiful, cooked to perfection! We loved the traditional period features of the restaurant and we especially loved the log burners which would be so cosy during the winter. Although we were only out for 4 hours it felt like we had had a little holiday! We will definitely go again and will highly recommend it to others!!

the food was as expected good at a reasonable price, although because we arrived late in the evening we were able to order the last fish and chips off the menu. Th.e staff were good polite and professional

We went for one of the girls birthdays and it was lovely. I would recommend the dripping chips and fish and the crumble for dessert. The waitress was very pleasant and the service great. The prices are very average for home cooked pub food and the location wonderful. Worth a trip for any occasion.
