As this was a Birthday surprise (Pat) and my first experience of an Afternoon Tea it was a very pleasant experience . The venue Oakley Hall was very welcoming, comfortable and the service was attentive. I would definitely like to return.

I have to say that on a previous visit we were seated in the library and found that experience far superior to this one. I totally understand that due to popular demand an alternative setting has been provided but feel that all the ambience that made it so special last time has been completely lost. We were sat very close to a lunch party that included a number of very noisy children which was also disappointing. once seated we could have been in any restaurant, the whole experience was very ordinary.
Food wise, my only criticism was the ratio, I personally would prefer more savoury such as a mini quiche etc and less cake. Other than that, the food was delicious.
Service, our waitress was lovely but nobody visited our table after the food was delivered to ask if we were okay or to offer anything else, we had to find a waiter to order more drinks.

Really lovely meal. We particularly loved the sandwiches, and the tea itself. The other things were lovely, but perhaps slightly too sweet for us - which is probably an absurd thing to say about cakes. The surroundings are exceptional. The staff are very attentive and definitely added to the whole experience. Oakley Hall itself struck us as divine place for a weekend break. The perfect venue for a country house hotel wedding or other large gathering of family and friends. I'll definitely be going back.

Wonderful. Everything presented beautifully, and although it was busy, staff were friendly and polite. A lovely afternoon with friends, I look forward to the next time. A lovely venue.

Took my mum and dad for a champagne afternoon tea. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Only minor issue is that next time I would ask them to hold off bringing the tea until we had finished the champagne. Food very nicely presented and service very attentive. Very good choice of teas.
