This was a very poor experience. It took forever for the meals to come, the mains were cold, it was impossible to get the attention of the waiting staff and they forgot our orders.

We visited this restaurant to try the afternoon tea 40% off promotion and the sandwich and biscuits were so normal and also a bit old, I got dissapointed. There were a couple of mosquitoes around our table which did our staying a bit unconfortable and we had issues trying to be attended by the waiter.

A friend and I had a quick working lunch. Lovely surroundings, great food - we chose from a la carte but a set menu is also available. Service very prompt and friendly. Excellent location - close to Euston and just a few minutes' walk from the British Museum. Thoroughly recommended.

The afternoon was absolutely delicious. My friend and I had a really good time there. We tried it with a glass of prosecco that was really good and rounded the whole up. The price with the 25% discount was also very interesting.

Warm welcome, nice table by the window, lovely food (rack of lamb/seared tuna), great service. Good value for money with tastecard and no problems using it.

Sandwiches were dry and had no flavour.
Cake was hard it had obviously been cut earlier in the day. Experience was disappointing.

The hotel dining room was very non descript, there was no ambieence whatsoever, not cosy, not welcoming, not intimate even, just nothing really!! not how I would picture having afternoon tea but then it would suit some tastes I guess. Nothing reaaly stood out, the sandwiches were fine but bland, the cakes were fine but not very adventurous, basically it didn't look like a lot of love or particular effort had gone into it, which is just about OK if like us it was a gift but definitely not good enough if you're paying their prices!. Drinks however were good. I'm not normally one to moan but service was poor, we were ignored whilst others who came in much later were served first (we weren't the only ones). When I cut into the scone it wasn't baked in the middle and so it went back, I was then given a plate of scones (all odd shaped looked like rejects that had been put to the side!) unfortunately one was overcooked but was edible and the other 2 were not baked in the middle again!!. I ended up taking these back and i gave up at that point. In all, there are far better afternoon tea experiences out there!!!

Helpful staff at beginning being as I forgot my voucher. Nice candle and cake for husband birthday !! Then seemed to get forgotten didn't get second round of tea coffee and staff seemed too busy setting up for evening service so we felt uncomfortable and left.... not best afternoon tea would be disappointed if we'd paid full price!!!

It was ok but quite noisy. The staff were very attentive to our dietary requirements - that was good. Food was fine.
