Service was very good. Vegetables in pasta a little over cooked. Vegetarian polenta dish was very good.

An average restaurant, but with really plain decor. Leaves the impression of a pizzeria more than a fine restaurant.

Overall it was an avarage experience.
The light in the dining area is too bright. They could easily turn off the downlights and just leave the hanging lamps on. The panels on the walls around us had some dried spilages from before. Little to no ambiance but then again it is a hotel bar/restaurant too. The staff are extremly helpful but constantly checking on you, collecting your dishes whilst you are still eating/drinking. The food is fresh and tasty but nothing special considering the price you pay (custard in the fruit tarts shop bought and plasticky). With the discount voucher for 2-for-1 Afternoon Tea, with an extra glass of prosseco each we still paid almost the same price as for two normal meals as the optional service charge was included automatically.
The place was busy, we saw people enjoying the experience but unfortunately it wasnt for us.

Supporting our afternoon tea we had good service and pleasant surroundings. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were plentiful and yummy.

Had afternoon tea there. Sandwiches were stale and fillings unimaginative and were not dainty enough. Scones and muffins tasted store bought and the fruit tarts, a real left down. I love fruit tarts and kept them to the last as a treat but I needn't have bothered! They left a funny aftertaste in my mouth. There were also something unidentifiable and were just sickly sweet. What was good were the little macaroons and the variety of teas offered.
The service was good. The staff were attentive and eager to please but the ambience of the place was non-existent!

The four of us were very happy with the four different dishes we ordered and I, as a vegan, was thoughtfully catered for. Also we had a small child with us and a high chair was provided

Nice ambience, tables set a decent distance apart, clean fresh linen and stylish table settings. Was denied a window seat as it was reserved despite me booking over two weeks ahead, it being my birthday and window remaining empty for entire visit.

Service was a little slow with ladies on a neighbouring table regularly ignored when asking for attention, they eventually had to go to desk for service.

Tea selection good with coffee or chocolate as alternatives. Price includes two rounds of beverages but my first teapot was barely a cup and a half. Second teapot two and a half, so better.

Nice selection of cakes but they are exceedingly small. The fruit tart had very runny custard and a lump of very thick jelly on top, not covering the fruit so was very difficult to eat politely. It looked like it had been assembled from carton custard and a packet gel mix, rather badly. Not what I would have expected for the setting.

Scones a decent size and warm. One had fluff on, scone was quickly replaced by two others but no other overt apology made. Unfortunately, this meant the already meagre cream portion was even more difficult to stretch because whereas two pots of jam are provided you only get one tiny, half full pot of clotted cream which is not enough. Also the cream melts into the warm scones as there is no butter provided! At least two other tables has to ask for butter in addition so this is clearly an oversight.

The hot chocolate was a good portion in a latte glass but was definitely drinking chocolate not chocolate per se. That said was tasty and my daughter enjoyed it.

The value was reasonable as I had a two-for-one Yeo valley token but had I been charged full price I would have been very disappointed. I have had much more filling cream teas at a much better rate, admittedly not in central London.

Be warned, they do add a service charge of around 12.5%.
