Crafting cosmopolitan British cuisine with quaint Cornish accents, Northbank offers sleek city dining. Offsetting the crisp, contemporary dining room, a bright and breezy al fresco terrace offers picture-perfect views of the River Thames.

A refined selection of dishes comes courtesy of Jason Marchant, formerly of Claridge's. Rich, hearty flavours with a Cornish influence are weaved through the Northbank menu, featuring favourites like pot-roasted chicken with Cornish mead, rump of Cornish lamb with sautéed kidneys, & Camel Valley sparkling jelly & ice cream to finish.

Spanning from silky Cornish real ales and mead to eclectic New York-style cockails, the Northbank in London bar offers a fashionable selection. A chic bar menu also offers delicious sharing platters and time-honoured British classics.

A smart yet understated setting, Northbank Blackfriars features cosy leather booths, retro décor and a super-slick bar. Mansion House Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

Was a lovely venue with great views, the staff were polite but unfortunately the English was quite poor for one of the waitresses so took several attempts to get her to understand our order and when we wanted extra butter. The food although nice was quite average, the Thai green monkfish tasted nothing like Thai green curry and lacked any flavour , the side dishes of cauliflower cheese and twice cooked chips were really tasty though. We used a tastecard which got us 241 on starters and mains which was great as wouldnt pay the full price for what we had.

A beautiful sunny day meant that we could eat outside on the terrace. The service was good and the food was delicious. I had goat's cheese mousse followed by pork cutlet. My husband had the Friday steak deal which was great value.

On a beautiful sunny day, its great to sit here with the river right beside you and folks walking past. Very friendly helpful staff and a good selection of dishes - especially good for me as I love fish and there was a great choice. The fresh crab starter was delicious.

Great location, ok food, service was awful but amusing. Drinks took 20 mins to arrive (diet coke, bloody mary and a beer). 2 out ofr the three starters were wrong, sauces were forgotten on the steak orders, so when they arrived i'd almost finished my steak. still charged for them.

Excellent ambiance, good food, lovely views. The staff were perhaps a little stretched as they sometimes were too efficient in trying to remove things we hadn't finished with and hard to attract their attention. But overall a great evening.

We had to have fast service as we were going to the theatre and wanted to eat beforehand. We had very good service and very good food. I told them about our wishes before booking. Seems to be a popular restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The staff all seem to be very professional.vv
